Keavy had been keeping a close eye on Mr. Pettigrew following his..accident. She was still unsure what it all was or what all had exactly happened. Being a servant, she wasn't let in on all the details of everything. But now that meant, if Mr. Pettigrew really had lost all of his memories, that she was the only one in the household that knew Alex wasn't really Alex. It quickly became apparent, however, that Mr. Pettigrew had indeed lost his memories and thought that the boy parading around as his son was indeed his son.
She had remained silent about it and simply watched initially, hoping that she wouldn't have to intervene really but it quickly became apparent that Mr. Pettigrew was starting to form an attachment to the boy. That was something she didn't think was quite right. It would certainly cause issues eventually if somehow Mr. Pettigrew regained his memories. To suddenly begin going back to how he'd been before. Cold and distant with the boy. He wasn't meant to be kept around for long, after all. Once the new Mrs. Pettigrew grew heavy with child, especially if it were to be a boy, the imposter was to be dealt with. An attachment to him would only complicate things.
It had taken her some time to decide the best way of discussing it with Mt. Pettigrew, unsure of just how he would take to the situation. There really was no knowing so she'd finally decided to simply confront him on the manner later one evening while he was in his study. She'd stopped frequenting the room herself after his accident, not wanting to risk running into him there like before.
Later one evening, she finally approached the study and tapped on the doorway before entering once he'd called out. "Excuse me, Mr. Pettigrew," she said once inside, "I wondered if I might have a word."
