"Are you always this forward?" He asked teasingly since it would be a very short thread if he just ignored her entirely. — Tobin Cartwright in Take A Peek
Did you know? Churchgoers and worshippers had to endure a foul stench during prayers due to the amount of bodies often stored within the vaults of churches and chapels.
"I'm not worried about your safety, doctor, I'm worried about me an' my wife's, seeing as how you're the intruders here," He said gruffly, though he didn't mention that the other man hadn't answered his question regarding where the group had come from. The fact that that was omitted from his response made the thirty-four year old decide that he was right in trusting the strangers. There was something odd about them and Harry didn't like it at all.
The woman with the stick did not release it - instead she slipped it inside her sleeve.
Clearly, the group - or at least the woman with the only visible weapon - did not take he and Morgan seriously. Something had to be done. Harry wasn't the best shot, but he had been hunting here for several months and had gotten some practice. He felt confident enough to scare them into submission, at least. He pulled the pistol's trigger. It kicked back at him at the same time as a cloud of dust and dirt flew into the air directly in front of the woman with the stick - he had shot the ground in front of her feet as a warning.
Harry aimed the pistol at her head, "Do what we say or she's the first to go."
With a roll of his eyes, Sam stepped back to stand next to Cass. He didn't care at all about Elladora, or anyone else in the group. He could shoot them all for all he cared. That wasn't exactly true, but it was somewhat true. When push came to shove, Sam cared about everyone, but he had to worry about himself and Cass now. There were more people out there that needed the two of them, and he wouldn't let anyone else get in the way of that. He wrapped an arm around Cass's shoulder, pulling her close to him. He didn't want to let go of her. "Listen, we said that we're not here to be intruders. You pulled the weapons- the real weapons. When we stumbled upon your village we thought it was abandoned. I would feel much more comfortable leaving, if I knew a pistol wasn't being pointed at my back." It was the truth; he would feel more comfortable leaving if the gun wasn't pointed at his back. He would much rather leave feeling even a false sense of security than leave with a gun pointed at his back. There was absolutely no sense in that.
Each response did not make Morgan less suspicious. Quite the contrary, they made her angrier and more aware. While most women did not bother to do anything with weapons, Morgan had always had an excellent aim. Her husband could have missed the woman's head if it came to it, but she was sure she wouldn't.
"I said toss it not hide it" Morgan said slowly, as if she was speaking to a child, not letting any of the members out of her sight. "This shot was just a warning. Next one will not be so gentle. Any weapons you have - toss them on the ground. Now." She said, looking at the woman especially. "Doc, you came into hour land with what you consider a weapon. We asked your friend to toss it, she refused. I will not let my husband or anyone else suffer because of you. You still did not answer all of our questions. Until you do, you won't leave."
Cass was silent up until that point, but seeing as Elladora just did something very stupid, she decided it was time for her to step in. "My name is Cassandra, and I want to assure you we mean no harm. We come from a village, a little bigger than yours, that had a growth of population. They wanted us to see if there is a territory that they might use for expansion." She said. "As for weapons, I am sure miss Black will toss hers in a second. To prove you we really mean no harm, I will toss you the stick I have found." The brunette said, reaching for her wand, and tossing it right under the man's feet. Her voice was calm, steady and warm. Caring even. Her blue eyes scanned the area. It was very poorly built and she felt sad for the people. "Why don't we all just talk? And if you need medical attention, the doctor can attend to someone here." Cassandra said keeping her hands in the air in the intention showing her hands to both of the muggles and making a slow step towards them.
Mariana had spent the time staring at the muggles since the interaction had begun; she had never actually interacted with proper muggles before. Mudbloods, yes but not people completely devoid of magical powers. She had shied away from them and as a child kept completely separate from them.
The pair before them were obviously quite intimidated by them and unfortunately, Mariana was a sucker for those intimidated by her, she was like an animal that forced its presence on those it recognizes are afraid of it. While she might not have her wand out, however, she did have a venomous snake around her neck and a certain twinkle of mischief in her eye. Acantha the Boomslang raised her scaly head at which Mariana proceeded to pet the serpent fondly, her eyes glued on the muggles. She was no parselmouth (though she wished she was) but she liked to think her reptiles understood her despite that. Setting the snake on the two was certainly an attractive idea...
The loud sound and acrid smell of a gun being fired made Mariana jump slightly. She did not approve of muggle weaponry she decided. She was very tempted to draw her wand but then, if she did, she might be forced to confiscate it... But if she used it first perhaps... She wondered how many muggles there were in the town altogether, were they outnumbered? "If we wished to harm you, we could very easily have done so already," she suddenly interjected.
EVENT ANNOUNCER
Tensions are high between your group and the strangers. The man and woman don't trust your group and after some rather negative back and forth responses, they have a half a dozen more people come out - each with pistols of their own. You are disarmed from your wands and every single one of your belongings are taken from you. The only thing left is the clothes you're wearing. The snake is even taken from Marianna, though they seem a little wary of it and aren't quite sure what to do with it. They corral you into one of their buildings. It's bare with a dirt floor and it's obvious that they have turned it into a makeshift jail for you. They tie each of your hands and feet together. Then, they have three strong looking men keep guard so that your group doesn't try anything fishy.
You've been taken captive by the strangers and there is no way to escape. You have to wait and hope that another group might come in and rescue you.
Mariana had been raised to think less of muggles and while she had always held the belief that muggles were inferior, it wasn't until now that she properly understood the lengths to which some purebloods loathed muggles. Now she saw why. They were so... ignorant and as a former Ravenclaw, this was truly unforgivable. She was especially enraged when she was robbed of Acantha and her wand. They had caused no harm to them so far, so why was it necessary to be tied up? "I don't suppose any of you know wandless magic by chance?" she asked her fellow prisoners. Mariana herself might have won the dueling contest but she preferred potions and consequently had devoted more practice to that than performing magic without her wand. Non-verbal spells were a cinch but wandless was another matter entirely and not one she felt was very necessary, after all, she had never anticipated being separated for her wand.
For hours Josephine allowed herself to be pushed around by her group for she hadn't anytihng to say that would assist the current situation. Jed's letter weighed heavily on her mind, couldn't that daft man see that she was trash? She was a horrible person that he should have rid himself of months ago. He was so bloody stupid for not listening to her. And now, Josephine was somewhat dreading returning home to him.
But she didn't like the fact that she was now wandless and tied up by muggles. She didn't like that at all. So now she had to speak up and figure out how the hell they were going to get out of here, and how she was going to get her wand back.
Jedidiah taught her a lot of defensive spells throughout the course of the past year and a half. They'd sometimes have sessions in which she'd have to use wandless magic in order to protect herself from his attacks. Jed was an auror, he felt that she could somehow become a target. She had to know how to protect herself.
Morgan was irritated at them. They seemed not to care that they were captured for their behaviour. Now they seemed to be plotting something. "You two, no talking. Unless you want me to gag you. Or something worse."
Your group is shushed. You're kept captive for so long that you've lost track of the days. They feed you just enough to keep you alive (they don't seem to have much food for themselves either) and take you to the outhouse under heavy guard, but you're kept tied up in the shack for the most part. Suddenly, the door swings open and a group of wizards and witches are shoved inside. They're bound at the wrists and feet and seem to be stuck in the same imprisoned lot that you're already in. So much for being rescued quickly..
Group 7 and 21 will merge together into this thread. This thread will be locked. Group 21 should post in Group 7's thread.
