Pale and a little gormless, but she has a very good grasp of makeup skills and is able to bring colour back to her face, also creating a healthy, youthful look.

Her hair is naturally lank and long, a dark lifeless brown. She often curls it into tight ringlets or loose curls to give it a less dead and more young look.

Her eyes were once blue and are now a very deep blue that unless observed closely merely look black.

She is incredibly skinny, her ribs and hipbones and spine often poking through her skin. Her body is merely beginning to develop sexually, and she is frozen in an early stage, or rather she did not grow much through puberty.
She is short, coming in at around 4’6”

She deliberately makes her appearance seem younger in order to play to Orpheus' desires. At a push she can look about sixteen or seventeen, and on the other scale she can make herself look as young as ten.

History:

1786 | Born to two muggle parents, her father is a goat herder, in a small village outside of St. Petersburg and named Svetlana. Her parents affectionately call her Sveta.

1798 | She first meets a vampire, named Yekaterina, at the age of 12. She is intrigued by her, captivated and unsure of all that she is, partly due to the truth that she is a muggle and has never encountered magic or magical beings before. She continues to meet with her new friend.

1789 | She is informed at 13 that once she turns 14, she will be wed to a wealthy man, who is paying dearly for her in order to clear her family debts. She is horrified by this factor, and wishes more than anything to run away with her new vampire friend. She goes to their meeting place to meet the vampire and begs her to bite her. Yekaterina agrees to bite her sweet Svetlana as she wishes for a little sister and companion. Svetlana is missing for a week and her parents send out a search for her from the village. When they are found they are found together naked in bed. The situation is innocent as Yekaterina saw her as more of a daughter or young sister than she would have ever seen her as a lover. However, the discovery ensures that Yekaterina is put to death. Svetlana is horrified and is swiftly kept in close observation and given little freedom. The family animals are slaughtered periodically but no one is caught.

1790 | She is married at 14 to a 50-something year old man who repulses her, though has paid her parents dearly for her. After the nuptials when he goes to consummate the marriage she attacks him, mauling him to death, tearing his flesh from his body. She quickly cleans herself up and ‘stumbles’ upon his body, screaming and alerting the wealthy man’s servants. The whole town goes on watch for the creature.

1792 | A widow, but still trapped sadly in a life of riches she is unaccustomed to, Svetlana wishes more than anything to go find more vampires and learn more about who she really is now. Come December she has sold off many things, saying she is packing up to leave and move elsewhere, having become a recluse she is rarely seen. She disappears in the middle of the night with all the money she can gather up and goes in search of vampires. She leaves behind everything that is herself and takes on the name Yekaterina after the woman that sired her.

1793 | It takes her months but she finally finds a small coven of vampires in the mountains between Russia and China, settling down there to learn more. She quickly grows fond of a couple there and they are willing to take her in to teach her all about their kind. It is here also that she learns about the truth of magic, as the coven has links in the magical wizarding world. She is encouraged by the couple, Efim and Varushka, to expand her flexible body and strengthen it. With their help, although somewhat unhelpful and more distracting, they help her contort her body and learn somewhat unpolished gymnastics and contortionism.

1796 | An attack on the coven means they are split up. Yekaterina and Efim lose Varushka as they flee, deciding to travel to Moscow. They settle down here, with some of the wealth that was Svetlana’s to set them up. It soon runs out and they decide to kill and steal more freely. This alerts some attention as murders are piling up and Efim is getting sloppy.

1797 | Yekaterina kills Efim, growing bored of him and his whining and pining over his lost ‘wife’ Varushka. Bored of her life as it is she decides to get a job. No one will hire her due to her complexion, unable to afford now the right things to ensure she look less dead. She comes across the circus, and upon doing some sneaking around discovers it is run by a wizard, Grigorievich. Seeing an opportunity she decides to approach him, knowing if he does not hire her she can either kill him and eat him, or she can expose him as a wizard, just to satisfy her bitterness. Already strengthened somewhat in her flexibility he sees her potential and she starts working at the bottom of the ladder for him.

1798 | A year into working in the circus she is now in the mentoring hands of a beautiful acrobat, also the lover of the circus’ owner. Her name is Alexeevna and she is incredibly hard on Yekaterina’s training. Yekaterina, however, is very manipulative and although Alexeevna is unaware, the older woman is at Yekaterina’s every beck and call.

1800 | The circus goes on tour, travelling to large towns and cities. As they arrive in their third stop of tour at the end of the year a horrible accident befalls Alexeevna, rendering her without her legs. She is no longer able to perform and is instead a sideshow freak exhibit instead. Yekaterina is now able to perform more, using the circus makeup to disguise her deadly appearance.

1805 | By this time she has managed to creep into the bed of the circus owner. Grigorievich is very smitten with the young girl and all she is offering him, and promises to marry her soon. Yekaterina however stalls the wedding, not wanting to get married one little bit.

1809 | She has been at the circus now for 12 years, and not only is suspicion growing over her agelessness but she is growing bored of Grigorievich and his promises of marriage.
Grigorievich is finding it increasingly harder to back up and defend Yekaterina's never ageing youth to the non-magical folk of the circus, the magical ones have been silenced through threats by Grigorievich to keep her vampirism quiet. Although she is using her makeup skills to make herself appear a little older facially, her body has remained unchanged in it's pre-to-mid-pubescent state. The muggle circus folk are aware of magic existing as a reality, but are unaware of its reaches in the world and of the creatures that come with it. In the last three years there is talk of Yekaterina being a she-demon, or a devil. Yekaterina decides enough is enough with this 'family'.
The Circus mysteriously sets on fire and all of the circus perishes. It is unknown however that most were already dead before the fire started, a few drained of blood, or mauled or just with snapped necks.

1810 | Deciding between joining another circus or not, she is now living in the pockets of various men she seduces. She has stolen the money from her previous circus and is now living happily in the laps of various men, when she grows bored of them she kills them and robs them.

1820 | She is growing bored of this life of murder and sex and instead wishes to find a more secure life. She is in the market for a husband. Preferably a man who will not grow wise to her rather perverse nature. She stumbles across an older, blind man in a church, her favourite place to seduce and fool. She is currently working on the priest, playing a sick game with him of seduction. Eventually bedding the priest she runs through the church half naked, screaming that he has defiled her. He is rather ruthlessly burned to death by the villagers, allowing her to run straight into the arms of the kind old blind, rich man.

1821 | She weds the blind man, Alexei, posing as Petrovna, and sleeps with him only once on their wedding night. All other sexual encounters she places almost dead and definitely dead girls in bed with him, moving them a little herself and adding the sound affects.

1841 | Twenty years into the marriage with Alexei he passes away, and growing bored of her life as a widow, knowing it will be no different to before, she sells the possessions and is off with his things once more. However this time she takes to travelling, finding it easier to live the life of sin that she is most accustomed to.

1859 | She returns back to Moscow now, having run out of the money 9 years ago and growing bored of games of sex, seduction, murder and thievery.

1860 | Taking on the guise of a young, inexperienced young woman she joins her second circus, run by a man called Grigory. She plays coy, not wanting to have sexual relations with the man. He is also uninterested in her, seeing her young body as being far too unsexual for him. Her lack of development over the years is boiled down to the history she provides of being poor and malnourished, and why she looked so ill when she arrived.

1866 | During one performance she spots a man in the audience, the first to peak her sexual interest in years. She is completely entranced by this man, later revealed as Orpheus Von Essen. She decides that she wishes to bed him and drink from him, and follows him to his home. Upon arriving and successfully sneaking into his home, she discovers another is in his bed waiting for him, a young performer, another from her own circus. She is enraged and kills the child simply by snapping the neck. She waits for him. Eventually events unfold and she persuades him to keep her, or rather they come to an agreement of some sorts. She is happy to play his games, especially after finding out he is a wizard.

1866 – 1883 | Orpheus and Yekaterina stay together, her skills in contorsion and her vampirism is entertaining and intriguing enough that he keeps her. Her ability to lure children and gain their trust is proved very useful for Orpheus and her knowledge in disposal of bodies. She is entirely devoted to him, as he makes her feel different to any previous lover or companion. She deliberately makes her appearance seem younger in order to play to his desires. At a push she can look about sixteen or seventeen, and on the other scale she can make herself look as young as ten.

1883 | Present | She is posing as the ward and niece of Orpheus Von Essen. Their cover is that she is too ill to participate in the general activities of other children due to her skin condition (first described in 1874) that means she has an allergy to the sun and that she is also a squib. They now live in Hogsmeade, moving here at the beginning of November.

Manipulative, untruthfully sweet, very reliant on Orpheus in too many ways to list.
