Appearance: Standing at four feet and ten inches, Nathan is fair skinned and has his own fair share of lingering baby chub in his cheeks. His eyes are usually a dark olive color and there are a cluster of light freckles that are speckled across his nose. The brunette fringe is usually messy across the top of his head. Nathan takes advantage of the times when wearing uniform is not needed to wear more comfortable clothing. He usually wears blues or neutral tones. Plaid is in a surplus amount in his closet and he occasionally sports a wolf costume whenever he can.



History: Nathan was born to Jonathan Westbrook and Florence Khachatourian on April 7th, 1870 in London. He was raised in the wealthy neighborhood, Chelsea. Jonathan was a well paid muggle lawyer, while his mother was the best selling witch author of the book So, Your Child Is A Wizard, most popular with muggle parents learning to cope with their child who has magical abilities. The beginning of Nathan's childhood was rather normal and happy, just like any others.





When Nathan was four years old, his parents began to fight quite a bit in front of him. Usually it was just the normal spat or disagreement, but a couple of years later, when he was barely six, the fights began to grow physical. In one instance, Nathan witnessed his mother throw a glass bottle at the back of her husband's head, resulting in a mild concussion. Even though he was young, Nathan can vaguely remember this moment, but usually tries to repress the memory because it bothers him too much to think that his parents used to have an unstable relationship. After that, the fighting ceased and went back to just a rare argument about the normal things, such as taxes or why there wasn't anymore milk. Nathan never really did find out why they had such a rough time during his early childhood.





At age six, Nathan's parents opened him up to the world of magic and told him about his abilities that he had inherited from his mother. Nathan was shocked, excited, and a little scared of the news, but otherwise, was warmly greeted into the magical world. After finding out about his abilities, Nathan read up on magic and it's history. He was deeply interested on where his own mother had gotten her magical abilities from and spent hours looking at his family tree. Nathan learned that his mother's parents were both pureblood and came from a long line of pureblood families, both rich and poor.





In 1879, Florence announced to Nathan that she was pregnant with his new baby sibling. At first, Nathan was hesitant to have a new baby in the family, because he was so used to being an only child, but with later months into the pregnancy, was excited to soon meet his new sibling. Just two months before her due date, Nathan's unborn sibling was said to have died from a miscarriage which left Nathan and his parents quite shaken up.





Upon turning eleven years old, Nathan received his letter to Hogwarts and was very excited to finally be going to the school he had heard his mother rave about for years.



Personality: Despite his rich upbringing, Nathan is very modest and reserved. He is friendly to all and is eager to make friends, but his shyness can hold him back many of times. Everything he does is very precise and he doesn't like when the things he does are not exactly satisfactory in his eyes. Nathan is very self-conscious and is nervous around people he doesn't know too well. Before he sees the bad, Nathan is most likely going to see the good in someone and highlight their best qualities.





Nathan is trustworthy and honest with everyone he meets. He has a small amount of friends, but strong relationships with the few. He is loyal and will always be there for his friend whenever they need him. While he's not extremely outgoing, Nathan tries hard to connect closer to the friends that he already does have. He likes to have strong, tight relationships with people and he needs to feel like he cant trust them. He doesn't like to feel insecure.





While Nathan will beg to differ, he is an intellectual. He still enjoys the normal little boy things, such as running around and having a good adventure, but he likes things that challenge him or require a deeper thinking to understand. Nathan enjoys to be challenged mentally and takes a strong liking towards mathematics.

Sample Roleplay Post: The air was moderately humid when Holden stepped out of the enormous castle and onto the grounds of Hogwarts. The boy had been spending his day stuffed up in Gryffindor tower, his freckled nose shoved deeply into a book. Fall term was coming up and he wanted to be as prepared as possible, even if it meant giving up a couple of hours of his day of relaxation.




Hands in their rightful place, Holden's pockets, and canvas knapsack hitched over only one of his shoulders, Holden scuffed his way across the flowing green lawns towards a large stone bridge that rested over a wide river that poured into the Black Lake. There was a girl on the bridge, also. The girl had wavy blonde hair and looked familiar, but Holden just couldn't place a name on her. He contemplated introducing himself to her, but she looked so at peace and he thought he would look silly if he had indeed met her before and there he was, introducing himself again. His fingers twitched in his pockets as he walked quietly onto the bridge and leaned against the railing a couple of feet away from her.



Pretty was an understatement about the view the bridge had to offer. It was a bit cooler and less musky up on the high overpass rather than in the lawns and there was a slight breeze. Holden rolled the sleeves of his blue button up shirt to his elbows and rested them on the rock railing. Head in his hands, Holden stole a glance at the girl and her name instantly came into his mind. Aster. Aster Chadwick was her name and they had met when they were down by the entrance to the castle. That was also where Aster and Alcide had a bit of a stare down. Holden shuddered a little, but turned to face Aster, a friendly smile present on his boyish face. "Hello, Aster," Holden greeted with a pause, "I'm Holden... if you didn't remember."
