    Christmas Decorating
With Christmas less than two weeks away, it is time to begin thinking of how you shall decorate your home for the festivities. Whilst mass-produced decorations are undoubtedly popular, with some more effort one can create a beautiful Christmas that is far more unique and refined.

A tasteful Christmas is a sight to behold!
Christmas, of course, wouldn’t be the same without the tree. A simple shedding prevention charm can stop your carpet becoming a nest of needles, and with them secure you can begin to think of decorations. The design experts we have consulted recommend using a colour-changing charm to change the tips of the needles to gold or silver for a truly enchanting effect with the heat-safe candles perched on the branches. Whilst last year saw a spike in the demand for fairies, this year seems to be favouring the gilded star for the crowning glory of the tree.

Wreaths, of course, should be hung on the front door to welcome Yuletide guests- holly is a perennial favourite along with ivy, and with some simple charms one could make them in delightful colours- maybe with accents of gold or burgundy- to complement your home. Charms making the wreath sing upon the approach of someone seem to be growing in popularity, however we at Witch Weekly cannot urge enough against avoiding this tacky pitfall! Not only do the charms wear off quickly, but even the most festive neighbours shall turn sour if out-of-tune carols announce the arrival of the milkman every morning.
Decorations should recieve your utmost attention.
Brown paper and ribbons have been steadily falling out of favour for years amongst the fashionable elite. Whilst coloured papers are easy to come by, as are ribbons, the application of a charm to make the paper glossy or add metallic decorations are sure to make it more enchanting! Cards, of course, should never be musical- such an annoyance at breakfast!- and carried out in tasteful colours, for it is the one contribution you shall have to the decor of a friend’s home! It would indeed be a shame to be remembered as the friend who sent Mrs X a gigantic electric blue card.

It is probably best to leave the decorations of the dining table to the staff- in particular a trusted maid of good taste or the housekeeper if your lady’s maid is not so inclined- for they shall know best how things shall fit around the dishes being served that meal. The lady of the house should of course check beforehand that they are suitable, for those of lesser breeding so often lack the refinement of taste.

Whilst it would be remiss to encourage too much revelry amongst the staff, it would be worthy of Dicken’s Scrooge to deny them any pleasures. Simple wreaths and garlands of ivy in the kitchens, with the provision of several mince-pies and festive coloured candles should more than suffice. Mistletoe should be avoided at all costs- not only are the berries poisonous, it would also be quite a hassle in the new year to have to recruit new maids after the footman took too many liberties with the old ones.

Of all three, only Miss Desdemona Collins-Potter ever played for the Holyhead Harpies - and only on the second string! Women of Quidditch
When someone thinks about female Quidditch players, the first thing that comes to their mind is surely the Holyhead Harpies. And while we do not deny their talent and skill, we cannot help but feel that ladies from other teams are often overlooked in their favour. We at Witch Weekly have picked three non Harpies ladies that we believe that deserve some recognition!

    Vivienne Willem
The twenty-two year old seeker for the Hogsmeade Howlers comes from a Quidditch loving family. Her father, Monsieur Sebastien Willem was a well-respected French Quidditch player back in his day. She attend Beauxbatons where she played Quidditch for one of the school’s teams from her second year - now that is an impressive accomplishment, if you ask me! Right after her graduation she played professionally in France for a while, before coming to England to play professionally with the Hogsmeade Howlers.

From left to right: Miss Desdemona Collins-Potter, Miss Vivienne Willem, Miss Millicent McTavish

    Desdemona Collins-Potter
Yet another Hogsmeade Howler player! Before joining the Hogsmeade Howlers as one of its first string chasers, Miss Collins-Potter played for the Holyhead Harpies, though only on the second string. During her time at Hogwarts she was a Gryffindor, though she never played for the house’s team. Despite of that, she still managed to have a quite successful career so far!

    Millicent McTavish
Moving on from the Hogsmeade Howlers, we now present you with the Chudley Cannon’s first string keeper! One could say that Miss McTavish had the most succesful Hogwarts career of the three, with her playing for Slytherin’s Quidditch team and even becoming its captain in her sixth year! Sadly, she lost her position with the ban that was enforced on female players in 1881, but as we can see, that hardly tarnished her career!

Those born under the sign of Sagittarius are optimistic, cheerful, and intellectual. Sagittarius: An In-Depth Portrayal
Anyone born between November 22nd and December 21st is a Sagittarius. In celebration of this Zodiac sign, we here at Witch Weekly have presented a portrait.

Those born under the sign of Sagittarius are optimistic, cheerful, and intellectual. They are good friends and can always be relied on to give honest, well-meaning advice. The Sagittarius has a positive outlook and an energetic nature. They're great people to get on board for your charity project, and they are modest and ethical by nature. They are reliable and trustworthy. They are most compatible with the signs Aries and Leo.

Every sign has a negative side, and Sagittarius is no exception. They are optimistic to a fault and have difficulty seeing the consequences of something they are passionate about. They can also be irresponsible, and many a Sagittarius has become permanently embittered because of one romantic failing - don't let this happen to you! Friends of a Sagittarius may sometimes have to warn them that they have a lack of tact.

The symbol of Sagittarius is the Archer, Chiron.
