Eleanora was tired of doing nothing. She found she could leave Charles alone for the most part to study. And the nanny took care of the children. However, Isabella and Ophelia were always attached at her hip. After reading about the kidnappings of young children in the Daily Prophet she refused to take Isabella out with her. She did decide to take Ophelia out with her. She baby needed fresh air and seemed to enjoy activity. But she couldn’t being anywhere without her Lady’s maid, Cornelia. Cornelia was a new hire that Eleanora was still trying to get comfortable with. Something just didn’t seem like the perfect fit. Eleanora put Ophelia in a white and pink gown. She then put on a thick pink hooded cape and pink lace bootie over her normal leather shoes. Cornelia got the black pram with lace lining and with pink lace pillow. Isabella pouted as her mother prepared to leave.
“Isabella, don’t pout that’s unladylike,” said Eleanora.
“Motina,” whined Isabella with her eyes as big as she make them.
“Use your English,” reminded Eleanora ignoring the look.
“Why can I go?” asked Isabella struggling to get the English words out.
“Because there are bad people taking children in Hogsmeade,” stated Eleanora flatly.
After a few years ago when their second eldest daughter was kidnapped Eleanora and Alexander stopped sugar-coating things. They laid the truth out for their children. It had been years now but the panic and fear remained in Eleanora’s heart. She would not go through that again. She was lucky the Russian aurors found her quickly and returned her safely.
“Then why do you bring Ophelia?” asked Isabella.
“She is in a pram, she never leaves my sight or Cornelia’s,” said Eleanora.
“But you will take me one day?” asked Isabella.
“Yes, your father and I will take your together,” said Eleanora.
“May I play the piano while you are gone?” asked Isabella.
“You may,” said Eleanora.
Isabella turned and left for the ballroom where the grand piano was. Eleanora sighed to herself. Sometimes Isabella was such a difficult child. But Eleanora did enjoy having one of her children rely on her so greatly, but she also knew how difficult that would be when she went to Hogwarts next fall.
Eleanora took out her wand and pointed it at the pram “Diminuendo.” The pram shrank to the size of a toy in Cornelia’s hand. Eleanora loved to use magic when she could. She hated her education to go to waste. All those years of learning magic and she only used in occasionally.
Eleanora picked up Ophelia holding the baby to her chest. The only think that could be seen was a patch of curly blond locks sticking out of the bonnet. With a soft pop Eleanora was gone. Cornelia fallowed shortly.
It had been several years since Eleanora had visited Hogsmeade. She arrived slightly of target but luckily nowhere embarrassing, just in a middle of the street in a rather busy area. She was able to polity get onto the pathway. Cornelia found her in decent timing. Eleanora paced Ophelia into the pram. She refused to let Cornelia push the pram. It was Cornelia’s job to carry the purchases. She enjoyed looking in the window displays more then anything. They kept on leisurely walking until they came to new shop that Eleanora had never seen.
“What is this shop?” asked Eleanora.
“Beautiful Beast Boutique,” said Cornelia.
“I can read that. I meant what is sold there?” retorted Eleanora.
“Magical animals, ordinary animals, dogs, toads, kneazles, garden gnomes, to name a few,” said Cornelia flushed.
“A pet would sound great for the children and me. We haven’t had a pet other than owls for a while,” said Eleanora.
“It’s quite dirty,” said Cornelia concerned.
“It’s a pet shop, of course it is dirty,” said Eleanora.
Eleanora pushed the pram into the shop. She waved bird feathers away from her face. The smell of animals surely didn’t bother her but it seemed to bother Cornelia. Ophelia giggled finding the place to be quite entertaining.
Eleanora was draw to a crate of puppies. They quite small puppies. Most of them were tan and black but there were two completely black puppies. They had squashed in faces and made funny noises. She had seen several upperclass Russian families with them. She believed they were called the Dutch Pug or Dutch Mastiff, something along that order. She stuck a finger inside of the cage. All the puppies ran to the door trying to lick Eleanora’s finger. She decided this is the animal she wanted as a pet.
“Excuse me, assistance please?” called Eleanora raising her voice to be heard over the animals. Even today she was still shocked on how much her accent had changed. It still sounded English but it had been tainted with Lithuanian accent.
