VANDALISM IN DIAGON ALLEY ENTRANCE DEFACED

The magical entrance to Diagon Alley was defaced yesterday, with the words 'GIVE US THE VOTE' scrawled across the brickwork in bright purple magical paint. The paint is what some suspect may have been a callback to the Wizengamot's failure to pass the Wizarding Voting Act of 1885, though others suspect non-human perpetrators, or even suffragettes. The so-called 'artist' was not clear in their painting, and one observer of the clean-up efforts commented with: "Well, their message fell a bit flat then, didn't it?" _____________________________________________________________

Regardless of the origins, the paint was very quickly cleaned up by a member of the Improper Use of Magic Office. Our source in the department commented that they will be keeping a close eye out for further vandalism of any origin in Diagon Alley.
