OCTOBER 9TH 1886
JUBILATION'S TRIUMPHANT DEPARTURE
SHIP HEADS FOR FIRST STOP IN FRANCE |
On the first of October, the luxury liner that called the port of London its home for the past three weeks set sail. A large crowd of well wishers saw the ship and its many notable occupants off at around eleven o'clock this past Saturday morning. The ship was opened to the public on the twenty-fourth of September for a day of festivities culminating in a gala under the stars. Nearly unlimited access to the ship's decks allowed visitors to see exactly what was on offer. Judging by the reported ticket sales, Jubilation succeeded in impressing a substantial amount of the crowd. _____________________________________________________________ |
The lucky passengers were on course for Paris and were scheduled to spend five days exploring the city. Immediately following France, Jubilation will be sailing to Portugal and increasingly exotic locales after that. The cruise is slated to last for just under three months and passengers are to be expected back on English soil right before Christmas. More updates will come as Jubilation continues its circuit of Europe and the Near East. AUTHOR: GULLIVER DORAN |
