Appearance: Maud is a pale and of a sickly constitution; she is thin and wiry thus lacking any becoming womanly curves. She is only five foot and weighs 98lbs. Her face lacks color and her hair is a mousy brown, though when caught in sunlight it does show tones of a more golden hue. Maud wears plain colors and modest clothing, preferring to keep herself covered because she hasn't enough confidence to show off her figure - or lack thereof.

History: From the moment she was born, Maud was clearly of delicate health. She was smaller than the average child and her cry was a weak one, her parents doubted she would live very long. Despite the doubts surrounding her lifespan, Maud pulled through and clung to life rather tightly. By the time she had left infancy and was stumbling around, she showed a certain frailness and sensitivity. She caught many a cold in her childhood and now rarely catches one, though when she does they can be quite severe.

At the tender age of eight, she finally proved that she wasn't a squib and displayed her first signs of magical talent. It occurred when her older brother thought it would be fun to convince her to climb a rather large tree but she got stuck and he thought it rather hilarious as she sat, terrified, clinging to a tree branch and sobbing her eyes out. She slipped from the tree and would have probably broken something had magic not broken her fall considerably.

Her Hogwarts letter was happily received three years after, much to her delight, and upon arriving at the school, she was sorted into Gryffindor though she had expected Hufflepuff. Maud enjoyed Hogwarts and excelled in charms which was by far her favorite subject. Since leaving the school, she has been exceedingly anxious that no one will marry her and doesn't care so much about marriage for love but for security. If she were to fall in love with her husband it would be a blessing though she doesn't expect much. In an effort to find some sort of security in case she is doomed to spinsterhood, she took a job as a welcome witch at the Ministry and while she is very shy, she feels very much obliged to be hospitable and charming, even if she does struggle.

Personality: Maud is a sensitive, uptight creature. She is easily stressed and can often be found fretting and worrying over the most trivial of matters. She is very passive and easily over-ruled and swayed in her opinions - she will put everyone else before herself and though she is very kind and not at all spiteful, she can be quite annoying to those with strong personalities who cannot understand her reserved and quiet nature.

The girl is easily intimidated and frightened, though the trait that placed her in Gryffindor is that she will be brave and stand up for what is right - she will be pushed only so far and will not act against her moral fiber. Contrastingly, she is a pessimist and lacks confidence. She may be naive but she is quite savvy about character judging.

Two years ago, her father died under mysterious circumstances. Maud believes the person responsible for his death is her mother and has been exceptionally wary of her ever since. So far she has not voiced her suspicions.

Patronus: Her patronus takes the form of a wren.

Boggart: Maud's worst fear is her mother.

Amortentia: Walnuts, Carnations, the smell that used to surround her father when he was alive.
