There are no other words besides plain and average to describe Samantha. She's not at all much different from your average woman in appearance, having rather boring facial features and a practically prepubescent figure. She stands only at four foot, eight inches tall, and weighs a little more than ninety five pounds. While some women take pride in being taller than average, Samantha isn't at all upset by her short height and finds it an advantage to be able to hide in small places.
Samantha has light brown, almost dark blonde, hair and brown eyes that contrast against her peachy-pale skin tone. Her hair is medium-length and unlike most women, her hair is usually left down and brushed with a wide-toothed comb. She dresses in the plainest and unremarkable dresses, usually in cheap cotton and in a pale tan or brown color. Samantha is left-handed.

History:
Samantha, commonly called Sammie, was born on December 19th, 1867 at her parents two-room shack in London. Samantha's father, James, was a muggleborn wizard who worked for the Ministry of Magic, while her mother was an ordinary muggle. The two produced one daughter before Samantha was born. Luckily, the pregnancy wasn't a complicated one as her parent's had feared, and both mother and child made it out alive.
Two years after Samantha was born, her parent's first son, James Chatwyn II was born. While Samantha was too young to realize what was happening within her family, her older sister, Theresa, took a strong disliking towards their baby brother because he received all the attention from their mother. Less than one year later, Anne Chatwyn gave birth to a second on named Oliver. At this point, Samantha was old enough to realize that they were going to have another member of the family and decided she liked her younger brother from the moment she was first able to see him.
Between the years of 1872 and 1873, Anne gave birth to two more children, though both were girls instead of boys. Between the times of her mother's last pregnancies, Samantha showed her first sign of magic while out on a stroll with her parents and sibling in the nearby park. Samantha's childhood from the time she was six until the time she was nine or ten was spent roaming the streets, begging strolling people for any money. Because she was such a small child with big, doe-like eyes, she was able to get a few knuts and sickles here and there from generous men and women.
At ten years old, Samantha's father quit his job at the Ministry and went to work as a salesman for a small company. He had good skills in math and literature from spending time with a few of his friends from the Ministry, so it didn't take him very long to start using sales strategies that he'd thought up to make a little more money than he did while he was working at his previous job at the Ministry. While Samantha's parents still didn't have a lot of money, they were able to pay for Theresa's second year and Samantha's school supplies for her first year at Hogwarts.
On September first of 1869, Samantha began her first year at Hogwarts. Upon her arrival, she was promptly sorted into Ravenclaw because of her wit and her ability to retain information very quickly, and soon began making friends among her house. She'd always dreamed of getting to leave the slums of London to go practice magic with the other magical kids at Hogwarts, so she took her schoolwork very seriously compared to some of the other kids there. Her favorite classes during her first year were Defence Against the Dark Arts, Potions, Charms, and especially Flying.
By the time she entered her second year of Hogwarts, her parents feared that the bright young witch wouldn't be able to finish her schooling with at least her OWLs due to their lack of money, but after applying for a few scholarships, she received a full scholarship from Hogwarts due to the straight Os she received in her first year. Her second year was rather uneventful, but the next year was a bit more exciting. Samantha added three more electives to her schedule during her third year: Arithmacy, Ancient Studies, and Care of Magical Creatures. She maintained her perfect Os throughout her second and third year, despite having added more classes.
The summer after she turned fourteen her family moved into the newly-built town in Irvingly with the money they'd saved up to escape their small shack in London. The ministry provided them with real houses and it was an opportunity to live along some wizards and witches and muggles at the same time in a town where magic and muggles were mixed together. Samantha quickly made friends with some of the muggle girls living near her and learned even more about her father and mother's muggle heritage.
Her fourth and fifth year were spent constantly studying for the approaching OWLs that would come during the spring of her fifth year. She struggled a bit more in Astronomy and Ancient Studies over all her other classes, but was determined to get at least an E on each and every one of her exams. When the springtime came in 1884,s he took her exams and got the following scores:

Personality:
Samantha fits the standards for most Ravenclaw students, being both witty and intelligent. While she hadn't had much education before Hogwarts, she had a magnificent memory and was able to retain and learn information quite quickly. She's always been a hard worker and tries her hardest to keep her grades up so she can finish her schooling at Hogwarts, and deeply cares about the subjects she's learning. She's sort of charming in the sense that she had a sweet, high-pitched voice, a youthful face, and a positive attitude, but she never makes an attempt to manipulate others.
