Sweetie was never usually one for spending time with her family, with the exception of Honey, but today she had been convinced to spend time with her elder brother before dinner. She still didn't fully know how he had gotten her to spend time with him, especially due to the fact that she was annoyed by his presence and preppy attitude most of the time anyway. She wasn't truly paying attention to whatever he was ranting on about after having lost interest soon after the conversation had barely begun. Though, she didn't fully mind spending time with him currently. She would never admit that to him, obviously.
She had been looking out the windows as they had been walking, and Handsome had been talking, when she heard him say something that shocked her. She looked over in surprise. "What? What did you just say?" She asked. Before her brother could speak, Sweetie was bumped into and she slipped on her dress. She fell right onto her butt. She gasped and immediately glared daggers at the one responsible. "You idoit! I could have been hurt much worse! And if you ruined my dress, you are buying me a new one!" She yelled, in a complete rage.

Citrine loved her sisters but she didn't really spend a whole lot of time with them. That didn't mean that Emerald didn't continue to be a beacon of advice for the redhead. She was stopped mid-sentence when a girl that had been talking to one of the more handsome prefects started ranting out of nowhere.

"I think she's talking to you, Emerald," Citrine stated in some confusion. Considering she had been minding her own business and engrossed in her conversation with the elder Weasley, she hadn't a clue what the other girl was prattling on about. Citrine did think her a little rude, especially when they were in the presence of not one but two prefects.

The long time intervals in between familial gatherings remained taxing on Emerald's mental stability. She valued the time her sisters spent together, despite it never being too productive, and jumped at the opportunity to convene with Citrine in regards to the semester's nearing end. The meeting itself was quite pleasant, however the babbling duo that occupied the same space had irritated the witch and provoked her to insult the both of them in confidence to her younger sister. She faintly recognized the male as one of the Gryffindor prefects--also a keener, if nothing else--and failed to rein in her speech even in threat of his moniker. Besides, it wasn't as if she was talking too loudly.

That is, until she received notice from her sister signifying her otherwise. The Slytherin girl seemed angered initially as both red heads began to walk by, and a sudden movement from the girl caused Emerald to bump directly into her which resulted in the fourth year to tumble downwards. The prefect was ultimately surprised at the outcome of situation, given that she figured any girl wouldn't be fragile enough to completely topple over due to a slight bump, and became angered when the girl began to accuse her of ruining her dress and, above all else, when she called her an idiot.

"Excuse me?" Emerald began rather aggressively, knowing fair well the girl would not escape without at least losing a few house points or perhaps an eyeball. "I would watch your mouth if I were you, especially in the presence of two of your superiors." A careful eye observed the girl head to toe before she turned towards Citrine and whispered "I believe that dress was ruined as soon as she put it on."

Sweetie knew for a fact that she wasn't some fragile piece of glass. Both the shock and being bumped into had caused her to trip over the bottom of her dress and trip from there. But it had been the stupid girl to have caused the tripping to happen in the first place, and Sweetie could have sworn that she had heard a ripping sound that had caused her stomach to drop.
The next statements from the prefect caused her more rage. "You are NOT my superior, you penniless girl!!" She shouted. Then, she realized something. Her big brother was right there, the prefect. And she knew just what to do. She took a few deep and hiccupping breaths as she started to steadily, and naturally looking, start to look like she was about to cry. "Handsome!! These dreadful girls just hurt me and now are insulting me!! And they ruined this dress, mother got me this dress!! You know how distant mother is, and she never has time to get me things!! And these girls just made it all worse!!" She sobbed, and made it look very realistic. It wasn't overly dramatic. After all, with several girls in the house and a distant mother, it was hard to get attention without knowing your way around emotion. Besides, she wasn't lying. The dress was from their distant mother.
She looked at her brother, with tears in her eyes. "Y-you won't let them treat me like that, w-will you?" She asked, her voice cracking.

While Handsome was protective of his sisters, he also tended to be a realist when it came to situations involving them. He tossed a dirty look towards the two Weasley sisters, and then a similar look — perhaps one of disappointment — toward his sister. "You are a lady of high status, Sweetie — act like one. Rid of those tears, please," he hushed, her eyes flickering back and forth between the three young women.

His eyes eventually settled on the elder of the two Weasley sisters. "Miss Weasley, I've never shown you anything but kindness. As a prefect, you are supposed to represent the ideal young woman. I'm quite confident that the image of a perfect woman does not include a gossiping tongue," he explained, his demeanor as calm as it had been before his sister burst into tears.

The fact that either of them heard her whispering was surprising, especially since one of the siblings had been on the floor supposedly out of range. Still, the words she muttered weren't harsh enough, so she felt, to warrant tears, and certainly not an outburst of verbal anger. It was in Emerald's best interest to avoid addressing the mess sprawled before her feet, and so she did, due to the girl's brother now taking a stand in her place.

Kindness was a very subjective term and one that seemed to be thrown around too often when it came to the boy of many titles who now stood before her. The red head felt a desperate urge to continue speaking negatively about either of the brunettes, but needed to take the high road so as not to cause further conflict. "I suppose not, however Miss Whitledge will still suffer a loss of five points for her irrational behavior towards the both of us." she sharply stated as her head turned towards Citrine once more. "And I can assure you this sole interaction does not define my person, Mr. Whitledge, nor should it anyone else's." Had it, after all, Sweetie's reputation of a sobbing fanatic would eclipse any positive strides--if there were any--the girl would ever attempt to take.

Merlin, this girl had to be some sort of crazy person. Citrine always tried her best to think the best of people but that was rather difficult to do when the brunette was shouting over something as stupid as a dress that could easily be fixed. Was she a witch or wasn't she? If she had no magical skill then surely her brother, who was rather not as nice as she had always assumed he was, did? He'd looked at her in a mean way and all she had been doing was standing there.

In Citrine's opinion, an ideal woman also didn't cause hysterics in public and call other people, most especially, a prefect penniless. Especially since they weren't. What was an ideal woman anyway and what made Mister Whitledge think he knew what it was anyway when his own sister was apparently such a fright?

"Do you need help getting up?" She asked of the brunette girl that had causes such a scene. She still spoke kindly despite the fact the girl had proven herself not to be of the same sort.

Sweetie, being completely unsatisfied with her brother's reaction, stopped immediately. Useless, as usual. At least, in Sweetie's opinion. Though, if anyone didn't give her exactly what she wanted, she instantly saw them as useless anyway. That was just Sweetie being Sweetie. And how dare he question her about being a lady? He had no right, given he was a man and would not know. That would be for their mother to say, though she would never want her mother to become involved in this.
Her expression was in no way saddened anymore, but rather annoyed. So, in short, Sweetie's neutral face towards most people. In all honesty, she would have made a perfect actress, if she didn't have her sites purely on being an Unspeakable.
She looked at the other ginger that stood before her, and hesitated, slightly distrustful toward the girl that made her trip on her own dress in the first place. She had decided to be stubborn and get up herself. Though when she tried, a sharp pain came from her ankle and she gasped. She looked at the ankle. She must have twisted it as her shoe had snagged on the dress, and she didn't notice her pain due to her rage and grumbled slightly. She looked back at the ginger and sighed in defeat. "Yes please." She mumbled.
