Reading was a perfect past-time for a lady in mourning. Ellory didn't even have to ask for permission to go to the library and instead merely informed her sister that she and Auntie Katherina would go there that day.

The thought that occurred to her the previous day, while she had been contemplating how to give meaning to her life. Transfiguration had always been one of her best classes at Hogwarts. With that in mind, why not try and become an animagus? Maybe it was a silly, childish whim, but she had nothing to lose by at least looking it up. She would be stuck in mourning until the next summer at best. She was growing restless.

She was disappointed, however, when they told her that most of the texts on advanced Transfiguration were restricted to the general public. They pointed her to the books that were available to her, but Ellory was still disheartened.

There, she happened upon an acquaintance of hers.

"Mr. Hart!" Ellory greeted. "What brings you to the Transfiguration section?" She'd met the man at some party back in the summer and he'd seemed very academically inclined. Maybe he could help her get to the other textbooks!

Kenrick had been stuck trying to figure out a complicated spell that would alter the appearance of a creature permanently. He wasn't even sure if it could be done by a spell or if he would have to figure out some sort of potion to take care of it. Either way, he had grown too frustrated with and and decided to head to the library to see just what it was he was going to need. If, of course, it was even possible. He really hoped it was. His next breeding project hung in the balance.

He was just leaving the Transfiguration section when he heard someone greeting him. He looked up, a somewhat confused expression on his face until he realized who it was that had called out to him. He remained silent for a small moment, trying to actually put a name to the face before him before he recalled who the young girl was. She'd been at some of the events over the summer but he hadn't seen her at any of the more recent ones, oblivious to the loss of her mother.

"Oh just trying to find information pertaining to my next project," he said quite simply, "I'm not sure it's here though. I may need to look elsewhere. Potions perhaps. I'm not sure." He paused then, not really the best at social situations, though most already knew that of him. "And yourself?" he asked, feeling it was the next best thing to say.
    Amazing set thanks to Nolan!

'Look elsewhere' sounded promising. It could mean Mr. Hart had access to the more advanced sections of the library. Ellory was already told that she'd need Ministry permission to get to them, but perhaps Mr. Hart knew how to speed up the process! Or, being well-read as he was, could suggest other books to her!

"I was looking for books about animagi. How to become one in particular. But I was told that I need to contact the Ministry for the more advanced texts... I don't suppose you know anything about the subject?"
