HOGSMEADE HIGH STREET DESTOYED IN EXPLOSION

is the plot for new novel by Francis Pope

Francis Pope is an up and coming author currently living in Irvingly. His debut novel, Disaster in Hogsmeade, is set to hit shelves in all good bookshops today. So if this novel is not in your local bookshop, that means it is not a good bookshop. That, or it is muggle. Either/or.

The story follows Hogsmeade shopkeeper Jonathan Johansson and his attempts to get his shop back up and running after an explosion destroys Hogsmeade high street and kills his wife, small children, employees, mother, father, all of his friends, his dog, his cat, his favourite author, his owl, and his grown up children too.

Some critics have praised the novel for being “an ode to good old fashioned capitalism” and “a good read for anyone interested in hard

work, redemption, and vengeance”. However others have not taken to the book so well. Harry Lykestoreid, a prominent magical book critic, called the book “a terrible, over dramatic book that will leave readers bored and utterly distressed” and claimed that there were “plot holes the size of quarries” and “deaths more unrealistic than unrealistic things”.

This book seems to be a polarising book. Some hate it, some love it - much like a food spread that has yet to be invented which magical people probably won’t even have. What do you think? You probably do not have an opinion at the moment, but if you read it you may make an opinion. I have just been paid to write about this, so I don’t actually care. Please don’t write to us and tell us your opinion.
