"Stop that, you're going to make it even angrier." Isla hissed to Irina. The problem with dragons was that they were immune to most of the charms. Irina's idea was not a good one. Dragon would never fly in the direction of the lights if she saw humans in front of her. This breed was famous for it's craving for humans and it was venomous... What to do... what to do... Isla's mind was working at it's fullest capacity.

It usually fed on cows.... So maybe if she transfigured a stone into a cow and threw it on the dragon it would work? The dragon would consume the cow and give them some time to escape. There was hope...

  

[Hogsmeade Trail]

EVENT ANNOUNCER ù ROUND 8
Your group is able to use magic to distract the dragon. She focuses on the stone turned cow, though it doesn't fool her for very long. However, your able to get away unharmed.

As you travel further downward in a southwestern direction, the mountains become more forest than snow. Eventually, it's simply forest. On June 10th, your group comes upon a trio of young women. Beautiful, angelic-like and entirely ethereal in appearance. The two men are immediately putty in their hands. They speak seductively and invite your group to come explore the forest with them. Seeing as how your group is full of women, you're able to resist their charm. Your group could inform the Ministry about the veela's presence and hopefully get permission to return home, or you could continue - which would mean climbing back up the mountains and heading due east.

Round 9 begins June 13th

Irina didn't want to climb the mountain again. They had just escaped the damn dragon, she didn't want to return there. Then again, it seemed rather foolish to send a letter because of some veelas. They could not harm them, or at least that was what Irina thought.

She turned to look at the rest of the women, hoping that they would come up with a better idea.

At first, Isla wasn't really happy about the whole: let's go into the wild and explore new territory for Hogsmeade thing. Then, the strange thing happened. It made her think. It made her wonder about some happenings in her life. About Bob. Soon she realized that she wanted to get back home safely for him.

Ursula might have been a pain in her bottom, but she wasn't on the brunette's mind. The man she met in muggle London was. Bob was the greatest thing that ever happened to her and up until now, she did not appreciate it the right way. All of the happenings, made her finally decide. When she came back home with the money, she would pack her things and leave the Black household. Rent a nice apartment before finally marrying Bob...And then they would live happily ever after.

Now they had to decide whether to go or to inform the ministry of the veelas and hope they will let them go back home.
"I think we can write to the ministry to inform them, but we also should continue exploring. I know we're all tired, sore and longing for a comfortable bed, but this is far from over, my ladies. They won't let us get back home just because we found veelas."

Clarissa looked at Veelas with sort of disdain in her eyes. It was so low to have to put a spell on a man to catch him. Merlin only knows why Mother nature made those kind of creatures. They didn't have power over the group of women.
"Well, I'd love to come back home" Clarissa sighed heavily "But I don't want to come back with something so... low. I vote for further journey."

  

[Hogsmeade Trail]

EVENT ANNOUNCER ù ROUND 9
You return back up the mountain range that you came from, though these mountains are much easier to climb and lack any snow whatsoever. It's a lower altitude that resembles a series of grassy valleys more than a mountain at all. Your group continues to climb across them until June 13th, when your group is far enough from Veela Territory to be safe should the trio decide that they don't like you after all. You rest before continuing onward.

The area begins to level out, the trees continue to grow more sparse, and by June 13th you're able to just barely make out the shimmer of what could be a lake on the horizon. It will take several days to reach it, but it might be worth taking a look at. Otherwise, you could write to the Ministry and see if the level area of land you have found would be something that they're interested in.

Round 10 begins June 16th

Irina just wanted to return home. She did not care about that lake, she had seen a lot of lakes in her life so she honestly did not care about this one. Then again, her team-mates seemed to want to go everywhere. Irina could not understand if they wanted to return home or continue wandering in the woods.

" This area seems as something the Ministry might be interested in." Irina said, finally deciding to say her opinion. " Let's write the Ministry a letter. If they don't like it, we can always continue searching."

"We can inform the ministry, but I want to continue anyway." Isla said to the young witch. She started to get on her nerves ever since that foolish charm with the dragon, but she managed to keep calm.

"We can rest a little near the lake" Clarissa suggested, thinking how nice it would be to sink feet in cold water. It would be even better than trying to drown this Baddock girl.

Felicia came to a stop and decided right then and there that she had enough. She wanted to go home to her nice bed, and her loving husband and children and family. She wanted her animals, her pets and her luxuries. She was sick of not bathing, and of only wearing the same clothes day in and day out. They seemed to have found land that at least appeared usable and yet the two of her travelling companions wanted to continue further.

"Are you sure you are not simply wanting to continue for the sake of travelling?" She demanded staring between them, feeling suddenly furious.

"You may not have anything to do at home but I do." The other women were obviously single with no real pursuits of their own if they intended to extend the trip beyond its necessity. The dragon had been something to deal with. Necessity. The veelas... passing amusement since they hadn't actually had any men in their group.

"We should write and wait for any reply. This is good land." She stated, hopefully leaving no room for argument.

EVENT ANNOUNCER ù ROUND 10
Your group send a letter to the Ministry informing them of the place you have found. It takes three days to get a response back, during which your group simply waits and finds a decent place to camp out. It seems that they are having trouble making a decision. Finally, a fresh owl is sent to you on June 10th. It congratulates you on a job well done - the Ministry will send scouts later that week to plan out how the area can be incorporated into Hogsmeade. They tell you to leave something as a marker there so that the scouts will be able to pinpoint where they ought to be. Then, you are given orders to apparate back to the Ministry in order to receive your prize money. Land will be handed out at a later date, once the other parties have returned. After returning, you're free to go back to your own lives.

Irina was honestly glad they could finally return home. She couldn't stand these hours of walking and she was sure that she was going to freak out if she had to spend more time with Miss Black and Miss Malfoy. Both of them seemed to hate her for reasons she was not aware of. Sure, it was foolish of her to use these spells against the dragon, but what did they expect a seventh year student do in such sitatuation? She was not a prefect or a head girl and she was certainly not the brighest student in her class. Irina was not dumb, she just didn't know spells to defend dragons.

She was honestly looking forward to return home. Even Isabelle did not seem as horrible as in the beginning of that trip. Spending an day with Isabelle could sometimes be entertaining, but spending a day with those grumpy Misses Black and Malfoy was a hell for the blonde.

Now they just had to mark the spot and return home.

Felicia didn't feel smug.

Smug was a feeling that would be unladylike and not proper at all. Satisfied was probably a better word. She felt satisfied that they were going home (and that she'd practically won the coin flip). She could go home to her three beautiful rambunctious children and, having been away from them for an entire month they probably would be sweet little angels. She could see Euphemia again and check what Euan and Annag were doing for the summer.

She'd only have house affairs to deal with, and the breeding of her animals - and now that she'd won new land she had dreams of setting up a reserve. She could organise a relocation team for the dragon back to its native habitat. She could see how the childrens nursemaid had dealt with her children in her absensce, and if that had been done successfully maybe she might try and get Euphemia properly married. She could have a bath. And New clothes.

The future was looking ever so bright now.

She was going home.

So there it was. She was coming back home. Coming back to Bob. Isla finally made her decision and was prepared to do whatever necessary to marry the man of her life. It took her a long time to understand that, but she finally did. It was a good feeling.

She was getting married. Isla Black, the one people said she'll end up a spinster, like Elladora did, was about to betray her family and follow her heart.
