    Wilhelmina Lennox
    #1
Full Name: Wilhelmina Josephine (nee Von Mallesch) Lennox

Nicknames: Mina is the typical endearment applied by anyone who knows her well enough for her to insist them use it. She had a hatred of her given name, in truth. Though at times those closest to her have applied Willie and Minnie to her as terms of endearment.

    Birthdate: July 17th, 1855

    Current Age: 25 years

Occupation: Housewife, though she has acquired a sort of free-lance occupation as an assistant to the Herbology professor in her free time

    Hogwarts House: Former Gryffindor

Wand: Holly, 11 inches, supple, hair of Unicorn core

    Blood Status: Pure

    Social Class: Middle

Family: Antony von Mallesch, deceased, father

    Katarina von Mallesch, deceased, mother

Sybill Harrington (nee: von Mallesch), 22, sister
    Theodore Harrington, 32, brother-in-law
    Charles Harrington, 5, nephew
    Cora Harrington, 5, niece

    Ezekiel Bartholomew Lennox, 30, husband
    Barnaby Archibald Lennox, 26, brother-in-law
    Henry Octavius Lennox, 3, son

Appearance: Mina is of a gentle stature and very slight build, the ultimate beacon of femininity. She is the typical English rose, with her pale complexion and brightly blonde hair, coupled with rosy lips and a soft, pleasant countenance. Her unusually dark eyes complete the look, though she has always ached for eyes of a lighter hue to match her other light features.

Mina is curvaceous in the right places, narrow in the others, and childbirth has been nice to her overall. Her waistline has returned to, if not its original, close to original size and shape. She embodies the vision of an angelic female, mostly conveyed by the soft curls of her golden hair and the pure rose-like softness to her. There are few ill things about her appearance, other than she sometimes appears childlike, and some have mentioned upon the dirty color of her eyes. She was, however, her mother's pride and joy. Mina shares the Romanian traits of her blonde-haired parents ultimately, traits that both she and her sister share so closely, it was often wondered upon whether they were twins in their younger days.

History: Wilhelmina Josephine von Mallesch was born on a happy summer day, as the elder of two von Mallesch daughters. The von Malleschs were a happy family with tidy manners and a tidy, domestic dwelling in Romania. Antony and Katrina Mallesch had moved to England from Romania upon a swell of persecution the had begun against the wizarding world, which threatened them and their family and led them to uproot their young family and move to England. The move to another quaint dwelling in Hertfordshire took place when Mina was merely a baby, and so she has no recollection of her parents' country whatsoever.

The von Malleschs kept to themselves, though were of polite society in their modest, middle class neighborhood. Upon the birth of their second daughter, the von Malleschs resigned to not hoping of having male children, as they had miscarried several children before and in between their daughters. Though this didn't diminish the love they held for their daughters. Mina and Sybill grew up swathed in love, and knew very little of the bad things in life. The von Mallesch girls were sheltered for lack of a better term, though they grew to be very well liked and amiable girls.

It was upon Mina's acceptance to Hogwarts that she began to learn the ways of the world, and that not everyone was nice to her because of her heritage. Many people shunned her, though oftentimes Mina was undetected as Romanian, as her accent was decidedly British, save for a few words and phrases when she grew angry (which was quite rare). Mina was blooming into a very bright and beautiful girl, attracting the attention of many at Hogwarts for her intelligence, her beauty, and her quite lovely nature. There was a calming sort of air to Mina, and soon she found herself acquiring the affections of a one Mr. Barnaby Lennox.

Mina had never expected to feel quite so much for Barnaby, and her mother often warned her against feeling too much on the matter. Mina was, ultimately, a middle class woman who would have to marry for money and establishment, not love. And dear Barnaby had not the prospects that her parents wanted her future husband to have. However, Mina allowed herself to encourage his affections and she returned them shyly, but adamantly over time. That was, until his elder brother took an interest in her.

Mina was faced with the difficult decision upon Ezekiel's courtship to her, and without true cause to decline his offer of marriage when it came about, she accepted his hand.

The Lennox brothers had procured different sorts of love from her, and Mina, loathe to disappoint anyone, took on a self-hatred of her decision. She would forever be hurting one or the other. In the end, her decision was all but made for her. Ezekiel pledged the deepest of loves to her, and Mina could hardly decline such love. Of course, it wasn't until after the marriage, and after the controlling nature of her husband discovered that she found herself to be deceived.

Mina harbored a small part of her heart for Barnaby still, a deeper part than her love for Ezekiel, if she were honest. Her love for her husband was tainted by his controlling, nigh emotionally abusive manner towards her, and produced an aloofness and depression in her that manifested into her every day life. Once a happy and robust woman of life, she became more secluded and sought the company of her sister more and more, spending time there instead of at her own home as much.

Upon Sybill's own marriage, a true love match, Mina felt desperation sink in. She soon found herself to be pregnant, and though that should have been a happy occasion, she felt anything but happy for the child and herself. Her husband began pulling away from her, and over time, secrets between them came forth. Ezekiel had adulterous habits that had begun long before her pregnancy, which served to break dear Mina's heart. She felt betrayed and deceived by Ezekiel, and oftentimes began to wonder what would have happened if she had chosen Barnaby in the first place.

The happiest event of her marriage occurred on August 5th, 1877, when her first child was born. Henry Octavius Lennox came into the world as a beautiful bundle of childlike wonder, long and stout as a young boy should have been. He procured his father's affection for a time merely because he was a boy, but soon Ezekiel found himself to be bored with the child and its mother. Zeke turned back to the bottle, the adultery, and much of the gambling that Mina had discovered him to be involved in.

Mina took to raising her son as best that she could, but soon Ezekiel insisted that in order for Henry to grow to be the strong boy he needed to be to take over the family name and position, he was to only be in contact with his parents when need be. Henry spent much of his daily time in the arms of strange nurses and maids, and it began to break at Mina slowly. However, she was not of the nature to confront her husband on the matter.

Mina took to silently allowing her son to be cared for by other women than herself, and she found she needed diversion. She began working with the herbology professor at Hogwarts, one of her particularly favorite subject in school, to get her mind off of her domestic issues.

At the current point in time, Mina has taken to a reclusive state of mind, introspective at all times. She began reading through her older diary of her fleeting romance with Barnaby, something that was never far from her mind throughout the whole of her marriage. The diary however has been discovered by Ezekiel, something that has begun to manifest in even worse treatment to his bride. Mina is yet unaware of this, though she knows something is wrong. At times he is in such a drunken rage that he takes her so roughly to bed she can do nothing but close her eyes and wait for the end. But of course, like any respectable Victorian coupleàthere is hardly anything outwardly indicative of such treatment.

Mina grow more and more desperate for a change with each passing day, though she is still faithfully bound to her husband, no matter the cruelties that he invokes on her.

Personality: When one thinks of the proverbial angel on earth, Mina would come to mind. She is of a kind soul, a truly kind soul which is rarer than one might think in the society she belongs to. Mina finds no joy in the malice of the world, and she physically hurts when those around her do. Oftentimes, her mother mentioned that her heart was too large for the time. Mina has always felt a duty to others and despises disappointing others, which so often forces her decisions to be made for the benefits of others and not herself. Only once has this decision particularly altered her life, though she daily wonders how things would have changed otherwise.

Mina has, however, taken on a shift of thinking recently. After the birth of her son, Henry, rifts had begun to form between her and her husband. These rifts, however logical when imagining their opposing dispositions and the history between them, has served to throw Mina into a sort of delicate depression of herself. She takes to her room more, or treks to the greenhouses at Hogwarts to spend her time, and she has come to a weird place. Her husband is adamant about their son taking on a strong, hands-off education, which aches Mina endlessly, but she has not the heart to disobey her husband's wishes.

Mina's temperament of being a gentle lady and kind to a fault has inadvertently procured her current marital situation, and things have festered into a waiting wound, ready to explode a moment's notice. This has begun to show on Mina's countenance, the troubles in her marriage and her life in general, manifesting in the ever growing reclusive behavior she exhibits.

    Sample Roleplay Post:
Quote:I could easily forgive his pride, if he had not mortified mine.

No truer statement had ever been written, Jules thought to herself. She was caught in the turmoil of one of her off days, the days when the reality of how black a sheep she had become in her own family was vivid and quite real. She could have forgiven Richard, had he said something before he'd dragged her all over the nation, promising sweet nothings and lover's promises. Telling her sweet, sweet lies. Lies she had so mercilessly taken and believed.

And now she was here, with a family who despised her and a reputation as black as her soul seemed to feel, when she had done little to deserve it. She was still a virgin even, but no one would ever listen to that. No one would believe her in truth. The fact remained that she was as pure as she was the day she was born in reality, yet the gossipmongers had taken to her travels like bees to honey and had stoned her verbally in the process.

    Bitches. All of them.

Of course, Jules would never utter such profanity aloud, but she thought it often enough. Perhaps those were her transgressions:? discovering the world and finding that it wasn't all love and roses for anyone. No one had love or roses. Gentility meant nothing but a well padded cage for life. And still she knew that one day she would have to accept. That or become the estranged aunt with a hundred cats. Which was looking more amenable all of the time.

Jules distracted herself again with the novel at her fingertips, though the words reminded her once again of her lost love. She could have forgiven him, had he not wounded her so severely in the process. Had he not taken the black ink to her reputation with his own large hands.
