Eustace is part of the 4.5% of the population that is 6,2 or taller at his indomitable 6,3. He enjoys being head and shoulders above other men and so holds himself in a way that exacerbates this situation. He is very lean and everything about him speaks to length and height. You sort of get the impression that if you sat on him he would snap like a twig. His limbs are spindly and even his fingers are excessively long and rather bony. His whole body looks like bones over stretchy skin. He has Marfans syndrome and as such is overtall and slender, shirtless you can count his ribs, and collarbones. Its not that he doesn't eat, in fact he eats like a horse but rather it is that his bones are prominent compared to his muscle mass.

Even his face his boney, he has a prominent jaw and forehead as well as very high and very sharp cheek bones and a rather big nose û that he refers to as aquiline. His eyes are set rather deep in his face and tend to glint with amusement when he smiles. In fact looking at him straight off it would be fair to say that he could well be mistaken for a bird, something gangly like a heron - all long limbs and beady eyes.

Rather counter to current fashions he wears his hair rather long and spends rather a lot of time grooming it and styling it. He would hate to go bald and the thought of male pattern baldness makes him break out in cold sweats.

Eustace is hyper aware of his appearance and the way he looks. Everything about the way he holds himself and stands speaks to a his breeding and social standing and the persona that he would like to present to the world! He sometimes spends more time than most women on his appearance and looks.

    History:
    * Eustace was born into the prominent McNair family, a noted pureblood line with connections to some of the best families in the wizarding world. Their family had business and financial concerns in most of England and so the family traveled a deal when he was young. As such he was born in Scotland at the families Highland home.

As the first son Eustace was told that he would have family business interests but that family should be his primary concern. His own family life had been less than perfect, his mother was too much of a would be radical to be really considered proper and Eustace was rather disgraced by her.

As he grew older he limited the time he spent with his mother, a sickly weak spirited woman, by spending as much time as he could in school, staying there over holidays and spending summers abroad with his grand parents. At Hogwarts he was a ready and capable student, having been sorted into Ravenclaw and proved adept at several areas of magic, although his favourite areas were history of magic and defence against the dark arts.

At the end of his schooling he dithered about going on his world tour and was convinced by his mother to become betrothed first before heading off. He agreed attending the coming out ball and meeting Mariana Lestrange, a young woman from another pureblood family. He was generally pleased with his match, she was beautiful and well bred and he assumed she would make him a good wife. Shortly after announcing their betrothal he departed on his tour, taking in the sites of Europe and deciding that research into magical artifacts was his intended path. He had been tempted to join the ministry but he needed neither their connections nor the pay check and his sensibilities would not allow him to enter into another mans employ.

Upon his return he married Mariana and was rather oblivious to her feelings on the match -after all young women dream of marrying don't they? At first it seemed to him as though he might find marital bliss but his own rather conservative and traditional views on the home and family clashed rather violently with hers. His wife had a number of hobbies which he found to be of questionable taste for a young woman of breeding but any attempt to quash them was met with resistance on her part. His fevor or that fight wavered when she fell pregnant, with what turned out to be his eldest son. She had discharged her marital duty and despite his distaste for her hobbies he left her to them.

He knew long before Mariana's pregnancy that she had been dallying with another man, he had his son and he had thrown himself into his relationship with the boy, content to ignore his wife. When her lover turned up dead Eustace was an obvious suspect. Indeed he was even brought before the courts to answer for the crime. In the end they returned a verdict of not proven, and he was acquited but he has never corrected his wife's belief that he killed her lover.

However, his particular enjoyment of family allows him to accept the boys into his brood and both he and his wife dally when they feel the need. As of yet he has not conceived a bastard with any of his mistresses, or rather none that he knows of. He agreed to move to Hogsmeade with his family, all but ignoring his wife or behaving rather scathingly towards her to try and check her behavior but to no avail.

    Personality: [Optional.]

Sample Roleplay Post: It had been some time since last Lissy had travelled by train; more accustomed to floo and magic carpet travel she found it odd to be moving so slowly. Indeed she was fairly sure that the last time she had travelled thus had been her last return trip from school upon the completion of her final year. She had been up to Hogsmeade a few times since then, mostly with Simon and mostly for pleasure rather than for business. Since Simons death she had been disinclined to travel much, leaving the administration of the families business concerns to the families general manager in London. Now that her year was over, her grief was no longer raw but rather it had faded to a dull ache that throbbed in her chest when she thought about Simon, and she was able to tread the old paths of her memories without bursting into tears.

It did not make this journey any easier. The decision to move from Manchester to Hogmeade had not been an easy one, but her mother's declining health had been a factor and the responsibilities of the Fairfax estates needed to be managed and the running of the shop in Hogsmeade would not take a back seat any longer. The London store had gone from strength to strength and the manager had needed to employ his time and talents where they were needed. Now that Lissy was feeling more inclined to re-enter public life, she had decided that she should take a more active hand in the Hogsmeade store, leaving the mill to Nicholas and Paris and London in the hand of their respective managers.

Her mother was joining her in Hogsmeade, the inclement air of Manchester had done little to improve her failing health and with Nicholas soon to wed it was decided that she would join her daughter, so as to leave room for a new mistress at Ketterly Mills. It was the reason that they were coming down most of the way by train, her mother, a muggle, was not inclined to travel by magical means. Despite her pride in her daughters skills and talents she disliked the idea of magic, it clashed with her Christian values and somehow travelling by train allowed the frail woman to fool herself into believing that this was a normal town and a magical safe haven they were moving too.

The journey had been tiring for her mother and when they finally disembarked at the tiny stations single platform, Lissy ordered a coach to take her mother and Dixon, her mother's ladies maid, to the house that had belonged to Simon's family, before she proceeded, alone, to the shop. The town itself looked much as it always had, wide, leafy thouragh fairs through which the towns eclectic mix of wizards and witches moved in idle conversation or in occupied determination. The low stone seats thay stood beside the planters, overflowing with flowers and vines, where mothers and children, or whispering couples, sat to avoid the late afternoon sunlight, where much as they always had been. She felt that pang deep within her chest, as the ghost of a spring afternoon, much like this one, rose up before her. An afternoon when she too had sat beneath one of the leay poplars and whispered with Simon, secret plans for a life together, a life that had involved children and growing old. She swallowed a lump in her throat, before hurrying on, averting her eyes and trying to pretend she didnt see them.

She was thankful when the shop came into view; it had the sort of front to it that would have intimidated Lissy in London, lots of gilt inlay and fancy scroll work -the sort of place where her simpler tastes and broad accent often brought disparaging looks and misunderstandings when she was taken for a servant rather than a mistress. She had done little over the years to refine her manners or her accent - she was too plain speaking for that and too little inclined to give any heed to the ill opinions of others.

The bell above the door jangled as she pushed it open to enter - yes indeed, had been her first thought, this was the sort of place where she would be mistaken for a servant not a mistress, where red faced seamstresses would bow and simper upon a flash of anger and the threat of removing her business to another establishment and an old discomfort joined the memory at the forefront of her mind. She had dressed, this morning, with care - a simple grey cotton dress, pretty but functional, it had been trimmed with tiny maracite gems around the coller and cuffs and some fine English point work betrayed the fact that although simple it was well made and finely taloured. She had only just set aside her morning clothes and the thought of too gay a colour unerved her a little, so the grey was a nice compromise when paired with a blue underskirt at her mothers insistance - at least the over all effect matched her complection and it looked artful rather than timid. Her cape was a heavy affair, of the same shade of grey as her dress, trimmed inside with a pale blue satin of a similar shade to her eyes that flashed and shone as she moved. She wore no jewellry, not even a wedding ring anymore, instead a pale blue ribbin was tied around her neck, secured with a blue and white italian cameo at her throat. Lissy pulled her cape a little straighter and nervously fixed one of her perfectly set curls, before venturing further into the shop.

'Hello' she called her accent displaying rather prominantly her northern industrial origins, as no one south of Milton spoke with such elongation of her vowels. 'Might there be anyone around?' she called.
