Walking around in the market, he looked at the stalls selling different things from foreign countries. He was not good at using money, he was taking care of making sure that he would hopefully one day be able to support a family, even with an unsuccessful betrothal behind him. He had kept his promise and never written anything about the Pendergast family because of the ended betrothal, he had been the one asking for it and they had accepted it. Being careful as ever, he knew that they would be pocket thieves a place like this market, it was quite large and he had warned everybody in an article, so he was trying to avoid becoming a victim himself.

Walking around in the market connected to the quidditch world cup and just enjoying the atmosphere was something most people would not do, but Felix was not like most people. Being a journalist he was usually spending much time just walking around in the town and gathering inspiration and material for articles. He was not writing about anything in particular, he preferred to write about what felt right to him, and that gave him quite a lot of free-time. He found that he quite enjoyed his life as free as it was right now.

outfit Maria was kind of sad that the home team lost in the first match. She hoped that they will get to the finals, but she supposed semi-finals were good enough. After all, it's not like many teams had the opportunity to play. The win of Egypt was a surprise, though, seeing as they weren't exactly used to rainy weather that welcomed them on their first match. They apparently were just better than them or rather their seeker was better than Weasley. The woman thought that the experience will work in the man's favor, but apparently it was youth that performed better. Maria was all too curious about everything with the cup, so that particular evening she decided to visit the market set when the players arrived. It was a whole new experience for the woman. She had not been acquainted with cultures other than Spanish. Due to her heritage she was mistaken for a foreigner a few times. She couldn't blame the people, after all she had a darker skin and the general beauty type attributed to those regions. However, in fact she was only half-spanish and spent all of her life in Britain, attending Hogwarts. Quidditch had always been a passion of hers and she was known for the fact she became a Quidditch captain in school and was a beater that was very effective. Apparently, she was the female beater with the most hits. She cursed the headmaster for the ban, because it made Grace's job harder and finding a good team member was now a rarity. Like they didn't have enough trouble being an all-woman quidditch team. Many people resented the players for that, but Maria couldn't care less. As a widow she had it pretty good. She handled her own money and didn't need a chaperone. Of course, she missed her husband, but life without him wasn't bad either. It was certainly better than that of a debutante when she couldn't do what she pleased without consequences. Like being on the market not accompanied by a chaperone. That wouldn't be happening before. Today, she was browsing through different wares when she saw a pickpocket trying to steal from somebody whose face she didn't see. Before the person could take the bag of coins from the man, Maria stopped them. Firmly keeping the thief with one arm, she delicately poked the man who was just about to be stolen from. When he turned around, she recognized her colleague from school in the man.
"Excuse me, Mr. Prewett. This man tried to steal from you. I believe this bag of coins is yours." The brunette said, taking the bag away from the thief and giving it to Felix.
