Some people may read the paper today and wonder why the marriages of Mr Albert Jackson and Miss Bethany Johnson and Mr Bertram Jackson are newsworthy. Both couples are of the middle class, of unnoteworthy occupation and family and are not even members of the middle class who partake in society. However, these marriages definitely are noteworthy. Especially seeing as the Messrs. Jackson, 37, are identical twins, and so are the Misses Johnson, 19. On the matter, Mr. Kevin Hull a rather enthusiastic spokeswizard from the TWAHTBMS (Twins Who Also Happen to be Magical Society) and a twin himself said, “It’s marvellous to see two couples who are both identical twins marrying. I’m sure this is just the good news that everyone’s been looking for! People can hardly worry about debutantes being murdered when two are being married at the same time!” After speaking to Mr Hull, I went to go speak to |
the happy couples. They confirmed that they were indeed marrying at the same time - and in the same ceremony! - and were taking a shared honeymoon. “And after that we’re going to live together!” Miss Elizabeth Johnson told us, with Miss Bethany Johnson adding, “All our lives, my sister and I have done everything together, it only makes sense for us to do this together as well.” The two went onto discuss their thoughts on children, name schemes and their joint finances and seemed very excited. The Messrs. Jackson seemed less enthusiastic. We at the Daily Prophet wish the two couples all the best and hope they find a lifetime of happiness together and bring many children into this world.
