Appearance: Clarissa stands at exactly five feet and weighs 120 pounds with a slight, slender build. She has startling blue eyes that stand out against her translucent pale skin. Clarissas hair is raven black and usually falls down her back to her waist in long, loose waves. The girls wandhand is her right hand which is also the hand that she uses to write and paint with. Clarissa typically wears the latest fashions and has a love for shoes with heels, enjoying the fact that they make her slightly taller. Clarissa tends to have paint spots on her clothing or skin due to her beloved hobby. Her nose often twitches slightly when she is highly curious about something.
History:
August 14, 1869: Clarissa was born as the third child and only daughter to Josephine and Clarence Cosgrove, an upperclass couple. She was also the last child that the couple would have.
1874: Clarissa showed her first signs of magic by causing cookies from the kitchen to come to her at the dining room table.
Winter of 1877: During the initial wave of muggles finding out about magic, Clarissa had been discovered by a muggle walking his dog making it 'snow flowers' in place of snow. The man set his dog on attacking her but was thwarted by Clarissas older brother. The incident left the young girl with a fear of both muggles and dogs.
1878: Unable to cope with living in the neighborhood they had lived in for years due to the bad memories associated with the ostracization, the Cosgroves moved to the settlement of Hogsmeade.
1880:  Clarissa is sent to Hogwarts and is sorted into Slytherin, the same house as her two brothers before her. She has a pretty uneventful year, or rather, how uneventful a year can be in a magical school and being away from home for the first time in her life.
March 1881: Clarissas fear of muggles is lessened as she feels for the family of the murdered Timothy Benton as well as sincerely wishing for the safe return of the missing muggleborn students. When it is revealed that the Minister of Magic was behind the crimes, Clarissa loses her respect for most authority figures.
June 1881: Clarissas eldest brother gets married to a foreign upper class woman and decides to live in the other country.
October 1881: Clarissa is often shocked by the Daily Prophets news and is banned from reading it by her mother for fear that she will get 'ideas'.
October 1882: Clarissa shows that she has no skill for potions when she melts a total of seven cauldrons in her attempts during the potion contest. She obviously did not win.
November 1882: Clarissa met Justin Adams, a fellow Slytherin yearmate when he startled her from a nap. Thinking that he was attacking her, Clarissa moved to defend herself and managed to kick the boy. As if that wasn't bad enough, he had the gall to call her 'small' which resulted in Clarissa declaring him to be her enemy for life. Though we'll see how long that lasts.
January 1883: After a student had flooded the dungeons, Clarissa was assigned to live within the Hufflepuff dorms, where she greatly enjoyed their kind hospitality causing her to have a soft spot for the house of badgers.
February 1883: Clarissa is one of the victims of the Amortentia chaos as she finds herself infatuated with Justin Adams despite the fact they had been arguing at the time which turned into the girl complimenting the ears off of the boy after drinking some laced tea. After it wore off, she finds herself still left with the feeling of infatuation despite still thinking that the boy was the most annoying prat she had ever met.
September 1883: Clarissa returns to Hogwarts for her fourth year which brings us to our present time.
1883: Sometime during the year, Clarissa and Justin find out that they were betrothed at birth due to the close friendship of their parents.
1884: Clarissa spends time tutoring other students, especially with etiquette. Due to a Peeves prank, Clarissa and Justin share their first kiss.
1886: Justin is murdered, leaving Clarissa devastated.

Sample Roleplay Post:
Katharina was a lover of all creatures, the more dangerous they were, the cuter she found them, except for anything resembling a spider. Needless to say, she was very excited for her Care of Magical Creatures class. Added to that was the fact that Atticus would be sharing the class with her. Walking into the classroom with him, she giggled at Atticus' amused words about Ronan being early. Taking a seat as Atticus greeted his best friend, Katharina gave him a friendly wave and smile before focusing on taking out her note taking supplies. "Yes, I tripped over him sometime during the summer," she stated absently before getting distracted by others entering the room, a bright, excited smile permanently plastered onto her face.

Her smile brightened once her best friend, Noah, walked into the class before it fell slightly as he seemed intent on completely ignoring her presence. Had he been that bothered by her the one time she had tried reaching out to him for some quality friendship time? Distracted from the thought by Emmas arrival, she waved back at her friend just as excitedly. "Hi, Emma! At least someone is glad to see me," she stated, relief in her tone. She couldn't stand it if both twins disliked her, especially when she had been best friends with them both for so long, before either had known that they were twins. Watching Emma as she ran over to her brother, Katharina smiled to herself and seriously considered moving to sit with them. Atticus had his best friend and Katharina felt she never got to see her closest friends often enough despite usually having blocks of alone time that could have been utilized for such things.

Sadly, she never seemed to be able to find anyone during those times or she had her efforts rebuffed. At least, she felt like they were rebuffed. Going so far as to pack her things back up and stand, she noticed Ashley walk in and make a beeline for Noah. The young Gryffindor waved at the Claw and then opened her mouth to let Atticus know she intended to spend this class sitting with her friends from Durmstrang when Adamaris walked in and also made a beeline for Noah. Sitting with him and the others seemed a bit pointless now that it was so crowded in his corner and Katharina was certain he disliked being crowded so Katharina shut her mouth and sat back down beside Atticus. Oh. It's started already, went through her mind as she fidgeted with her hands. At least now she knew why Noah never had time to spend with her, between studies and making new friends, she was sure he was quite busy. It was good to see him slightly getting out of his shell even if it did sting a little that he had all that time to do so but couldn't seem to spare a few minutes to explore the old pictures from their Durmstrang times she had found in her trunk.
