*Takes place a week before Christmas Break - December of 1883*

Stay focused, Sepehy!, the young blonde scolded herself as she stared furiously at the large Runes volume before her, her mind attempting to comprehend the foreign language, but unfortunately, the effort seemed to be in vain since she was far too distracted to think clearly. Even more unfortunate was the fact that the origins of her distracted state of mind was due to the handsome man sitting across from her, a book of his own situated before him, but she did not even need to look up from her book to know that his mind was also straying from the task at hand - and quite frankly, it irritated her to no end.

They were meant to be studying together for their respective classes, and instead he was sitting there - looking far more attractive than she should be, she might add - appearing quite bored, and she could feel his eyes upon her form every time he looked up from his book to stare at her, but once he was caught he would refocus his attention onto his schoolwork. Unfortunately for August, however, Persephone was not fooled - she knew that he could not focus, which in turn, also caused her to be unable to concentrate, as well.

“And how are your studies coming along?,” she finally inquired, lifting her eyes from the textbook and throwing him a knowing glance. She would make the effort to conceal her irritation as she was aware that August was mostly committing to this study session for her benefit (and she quite appreciated him for it), but it would be exceedingly difficult. However, in the furthest confines of her conscience, a little voice informed her that her annoyance was irrational, but she ignored it and awaited August’s answer, her crystal-blue eyes focused upon his face.
