    The Tortoise and the Hare
    #11
"A maned fox?," Persephone suggested after August failed to recall his uncle's animagus form, and although her own conclusion was a rough guess, the only animal that came to mind that was a "freakishly tall" wolf who possessed the features of a fox was a maned fox. However, the subject of his uncle's animagus form was not nearly as intriguing as the fact that he had even accomplished becoming one at all! Persephone was truly curious about the successes and misadventures during his studies, and had a good amount of questions that she desired to ask him, but she was aware that it would be odd if she decided to send him a letter full of inquiries when she was not even acquainted with him - though the image of a grown man receiving a letter with a ton of questions from a fifteen-year-old girl rather amused her, and she hid a smile at the thought.

"How fascinating!," Persephone exclaimed in a hushed tone so as to not disturb the two girls who were seated a few tables away. His uncle's occupation sounded delightful, and she was certain that the man had plenty of tales to regale his nieces and nephew with, and she could only imagine how riveting those adventures must be. "Does your uncle study beasts or does he tend them?," she inquired after a moment, still in awe of how wonderful his uncle's occupation sounded, and how much she desired to travel the world herself.

"Indeed!," she answered to his inquiry, her eyes shining. Now decidedly more enthusiastic than she had been throughout their entire study period, Persephone was eager to spend more time on the subject of Animagi and August's uncle's occupation, for it was not everyday that she discovered an individual who had successfully accomplished the trial and errors of Animagi. "Are you aware that your animagus form is usually your patronus form, as well?" She adopted August's 'know-it'all' attitude as she spoke, feeling as if this was about to become a battle of whose knowledge was greater.
