    MURDEROUS MAID MEETS PAINFUL END

    MRS. CRABBE CURED

After two weeks at Hogsmeade Hospital receiving various treatments to cure her poisoning, Mrs. Crabbe was finally sent home a few days ago to finish up her recovery. Meanwhile, the hunt for her Lady's Maid continued and late Monday night, she was located.

The Lady's Maid in question, a woman in her late thirties, was found in by muggle authorities when she attempted to stow away in a boat in Portsmouth harbor leaving for the orient. The woman used several confundus charms to make her escape from the muggles who had apprehended her and fled the scene. Obliviators and Hit Wizards were dispatched to clear up the mess and catch the culprit, much to their surprise, the woman fit the description of Mrs. Crabbe's missing maid.

While trying to escape, the woman managed to drop her wand and, in a desperate attempt to evade capture, threw herself from a bridge. Unfortunately, one of the Hit Wizards in pursuit of the Lady's Maid, attempted to stop what looked to him like an attempt to flee by turning the water into ice. He failed to anticipate that the height from which the woman had jumped would likely result in her serious injury or, most likely, death. Indeed it turned out to be the latter.

It has now been discovered that the maid, who presented herself as Miss Gemima Duckworth to Mrs. Crabbe, is actually one Miss Mary Martel, a woman with numerous poor references from previous employers and whom was expelled from Hogwarts in her second year after setting another student on fire and seriously injuring them.

Mr. and Mrs. Crabbe were unavailable for comment.
