Evie made an excellent point which Cora found she couldn't argue with. That Olivia Pendergast would feel lonely without children in the house baffled her. She never saw herself as the mothering type – of course she enjoyed her nieces and nephews, but that was only when she was prepared to have her energy drained from her for the entire afternoon.
She didn't have children for herself, so she knew her feelings could very well change when she was married and had kids. She was about to reply to her friend when the beginning of her response was interrupted by another voice. She looked up to see who it was. Upon recognizing the woman, she turned to Evelyn. She was surprised to hear Evelyn use a muggle title to address the other woman, but she kept her face placid, waiting to be introduced.
"The Wimbourne Wasps," she replied to her friend, giving the newcomer a cordial smile. "A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Countess Etherium." The honorific sounded odd on her tongue. How strange, she'd never met any magic folk with a muggle title before.
