    Mr. Hatchitt,

As one of my school assignments, I have been tasked with interviewing an auror. You were a hero even as a trainee, so I thought you would be an interesting choice, if you would not mind!

    Mr. Hatchitt,

Excellent! If you don’t mind, I’ll just copy out Professor Sleptov’s questions here—I think that’s the easiest way to go about things, at least:

When did you become an auror?
Why did you become an auror?
What do you like most about being an auror?
What do you like least about being an auror?
What piece of advice would you give a non-auror where defence is concerned?

Thank you very much for your time, sir; I’m sure you must be very busy catching dark wizards.

    Mr. Castor Allaway,

It's no trouble at all - I'm happy to help out a student!

    - I became an auror in June 0f 1883, after completing the requisite three years of training.
    - I became an auror because I've always wanted to be an auror, ever since I knew what an auror was. Once I grew up enough to evaluate the amount of work that goes into being an auror, I knew that I still wanted to be an auror because I wanted to help my community and I thought that this was the best way to do so. I don't have the right temperament for being a healer.
    - My favorite thing about being an auror is the moment when a case properly comes together; catching a dark wizard is an incredible, but figuring things out is especially fulfilling.
    - My least favorite part of being an auror is, naturally, the paperwork.
    - A non-auror can improve their defense capabilities by taking consistent note of their surroundings.

I hope this helps you with your assignment!
