    Oliver Trask vs. Antigone Baudelaire

Finally, the tournament was almost over. Matthew went over the rules faster this time. He didn't want to keep the students waiting!

"Mr. Trask, you may cast when ready!"

What were the odds that his last two competitors would both be girls? Oliver had to guess they were low, but it didn't matter much, he supposed. He came prepared with some props, and attempted to transfigure one of his older quills into a hawk.

Tig had lost a duel to a student younger than her before but she wouldn't let it happen again. Good riddance, Beatrice Skye! Anyway, this one was a Hufflepuff, he probably didn't have much upstairs anyway, she totally had this. She had this in the bag. She was going to win, she was going to win her duel and bragging rights for several months. "Hello Miss Pendergast, I won the dueling tournament, did you hear? How's your patronus doing? Have you even made one yet? I bet it's a llama." Ahhhhh yes, she'd have to devote all her witty remarks to memory so she could realize the conversation later.

For now, she had a Hufflefluff to beat. Even if he was a quidditch player, he was going down. DOWN TO THE BOTTOM OF THE BLACK LAKE IN A LEAKING BOAT OF LOSER. She took out her wand and a few hair ribbons from her pocket and attempted to transfigure them into a respectably-sized snake with multiple heads.

Matthew was surprised that Mr. Trask went for a display as well, but a it wasn't like it made a different whether he turned the dummy into a hawk or a quill. And it was well transfigured, unlike Miss Baudelaire's snake, which would be perfect, hadn't one of the heads still been a ribbon.

"Mr. Trask takes the round." Matthew announced. "Miss Baudelaire, you may start the second."

Tig was mortified and shocked. One more round like that and she'd be done, she'd be out. It'd be like losing to Skye all over again. She had to do something so amazing that she couldn't possibly lose. Pointing her wand at one of the long tables, she attempted to transfigure it into an elephant. Those were big and bigger was better and more impressive than some dumb bird.

Ori forgot that dudes still get a dummy, whoops XD

Oliver was pleased with his transfiguration, but the duel wasn't over yet. He turned to the dummy and attempted to transform it into a badger, for Hufflepuff house.

Once again, Mr. Trask had performed the more impressive transfiguration. "Mr. Trask takes the duel and five points for Hufflepuff!"
