Appearance:
Ella is 5'2", with large light eyes and a pleasing and engaging smile. Her right hand is her wand and dominant hand. Ella is slender and her long brown hair has been her "signature trait" since she was young. In fact, her mother, Suzanne, proudly boasts that Ella's hair "was a flowing mane of brown hair when she was born." Ella has light olive skin and when in the sun, you can make out the delicate freckles that line the bridge of her nose. She has a perfectly oval face, with pronounced cheekbones and a flawless complexion. Because of her privileged background, her clothes are of the highest quality, with luxurious floral fabrics, soft gloves and feathered hats. Her boots are made of the finest and softest leather.

History:

• June 1, 1869 - Ella is born at her families lavish estate to the respectable and wealthy, William and Suzanne Calloway. Ella was born into a wealthy family, but always found herself uncomfortable among other wealthy wizarding families. She enjoyed playing with all types of wizarding and Muggle children, much to her parent's dismay.
  
  
• 1879 - Ella's magical talents begin to emerge, quite early, Suzanne could repeatedly be told boasting to her friends over tea. Ella began making wildflowers bloom by holding them gently in her palm in their large estate gardens, leaving many of the magical caretakers without any flowers to maintain! Ella's talents emerged through her love of nature. Ivy appeared cascading up to Ella's bedroom window over night. Animals took a particular liking to her. Ella befriends a Muggle born boy who helps his father on Ella's family estate. Ella enjoys frolicking in the fields, fishing at the family's pond and catching ladybugs. Her parents soon become aware of this friendship and the boy and father are terminated immediately. Ella is livid with her family and is desperate to find her own freedom.
  
  
• July 1880 - Ella receives her Hogwarts letter with her parents by her side. Her parents immediately stress the importance of being sorted into Gryffindor, valuing chivalry, courage and determination.
  
  
• 1880 - Ella leaves for Hogwarts, eager to begin her magical education and find herself. Her parent's, both Gryffindor alumni, hope for Ella to follow in their footsteps. Ella is sorted into Ravencalw, the first of the Calloway generation. Her parents, while initially disappointed, take the Sorting Hat's decision a testament of Ella's unique and superior qualities. Ella embodies all of the Ravenclaw qualities: intelligence, knowledge and wit. Ella is certainly determined - determined to make her own path.
  
  
• 1885 - Ella proves to be a most dedicated magical student. She receives the follow OWLs:

While Ella greatly desires a man who is kind and respectable, there is a small portion of Ella that wonders what it would be like to have a career of her own and to make a difference in the world. Ella has secretly always desired to be a teacher, for her love of learning is evident and something she is very good at. She feels that her education is doomed to be a waste if she cannot find a way to put it to good use.
  
  Hogwarts students are home for the summer and Ella has been corresponding with a boy, Edward Nottingham. Ella's feelings are beginning to grow and she is eager to leave the constraints of her privileged life and head back to Hogwarts for the new term.

Ella had been home from Hogwarts on Summer Break for a little less than a week and already her mother had had 5 new frocks made. Ella gritted her teeth as she opened the boxes of endless fabrics, woven and weaved in all their glory. She wished, now entering her sixth year, that she would be able to choose her own clothes. Suddenly, a wide smile spread across Ella's face. She took a pair of scissors from her nightstand and began cutting and manipulating the fabrics. She took her jeweled belt and placed it around her head. Her maid waited impatiently outside her door. After an hour, Ella emerged, to all the staff's horror. She cascaded down the grand staircase and into the sitting room. She was met with gasps and wide-eyes as she presented herself, her dress cut and wrapped to her knees, with her jeweled belt resting on her forehead. This was the beginning of her sixth year. This was the beginning of her own life. Her parents exchanged worried looks and Suzanne Calloway could feel something slipping away. She wasn't quite sure what it was, but some would say, it was her daughter's youth.
