[Handsome Whitledge]

The end of the school year was always sad at first, but it quickly turned to happiness when he got to see his younger siblings again. It would be the last time Handsome would have to go almost a whole year without seeing Knight in Shining Armour and Honey, and that made him extremely happy. He wouldn't have to worry again about his mother driving them insane or leaving them alone with the household staff without anyone they could go to with their troubles.

While he didn't exactly treat his younger siblings like his own children, he'd taken on somewhat of a paternal role since their father's passing. His mother wasn't exactly irresponsible, but she didn't travel on the same wavelength as her children, which often led to his siblings—specifically the younger ones—feeling abandoned or misunderstood. He tried to send them candy during the school year, or at least make an effort to write to them as often as possible.

He led his siblings through the entrance way through their home, and was informed upon entering that his mother was not home. Honey and Knight, however, were. "Hun Bun! Knight! I've missed you both so much," he said, dropping his bags and moving towards them. His siblings piled in the door behind him, but it seemed that only him and his twin were interested in greetings. The two middle daughters went straight towards the stairs with the footmen dragging their bags, leaving the four siblings—the two eldest and the two youngest—alone.

Home from Hogwarts! Cuppy was excited to be home, although she put far less thought into it than her twin. As Sweetie and Darling went up towards their rooms, Cupcake went to offer hugs to her youngest siblings. "Knight, Bunny! It's lovely to see both of you. Are you two both looking forward to your last summer before Hogwarts?"

Mother, of course, was working. Nanny, of course, had insisted upon sentimentality and hauled the youngest of the Whitledges away from their activities—in Knight’s case, reading—to greet their older siblings.

The boy’s face was a dour one as Sweetie and Darling filed upstairs with little more than a nod of acknowledgement, and while Sweetie in particular was not to Knight’s tastes, the young wizard wished very much that he could join them. He loved his siblings even at times when he disliked them, but that did not mean he had missed them—or at least, not that he would admit to it, at any rate.

At least Handsome had called him Knight and not his full moniker.

The boy even managed a small, fleeting smile of greeting at his siblings’ enthusiasm, though did not immediately move towards them. Sentimentality was for literature, for poetry, not for real life!

Hun Bun had been excited last night for the arrival of her sibling today. She missed them all even if at times. But this would be the last time that she’ll miss them as she would be joining them at school in September.

While Honey wanted to hug Darling and Sweetie, the both of them looked tired so she offered them a  cheerful smile before turning her attention to Handsome and Cupcake.“You guys are back! Welcome Home! I missed you.” She greeted enthusiastically as she hugged both of her eldest  siblings back.  “How was your trip? Was it fun? You two attended the coming out ball, right? How was it?” She asked though after a few seconds she realized she gave her siblings too much questions. “Sorry... You two should sit down first.”

Enthusiasm was a trait that ran in the Whitledge family, and it seemed that trait—along with many others—failed to show in Handsome's younger brother. Cocking a brow towards his youngest sibling, Handsome attempted to pull him into a tight hug. "What's wrong, Knight? Not excited to see us? Hun Bun's got the right idea; she knows how to greet family the right way," he teased lightly.

The Whitledges were different than most upper class families in the way they cared for each other. They were without a father and a mother who was a little ... out there, so they often relied on each other to keep the family together. It often led to the siblings having closer and healthier relationships than most other siblings.

He moved away from Knight and leaned down to Honey's level, tapping her on the nose. "Tell me you've gotten little Knight to have a some fun this year. He's always too caught up in those books sometimes to enjoy what life has to offer him," he chuckled.

It was a little disappointing that Mother wasn't here as well, but at least they could have time with their youngest siblings. If only Sweetie and Darling hadn't been so quick to hurry upstairs, then they could have had some proper time with all the Whitledge children!

Honey Bunny was more than willing to be hugged, but not so Knight. That was much the norm for him, and so Cup drew her youngest sister over to the divan to sit. "I missed you, too! The trip was very fine, and the ball quite grand! I danced again and again, although of course no more than once with anyone." She was certainly still too young to set her cap at any one gentleman, and that was of Handsome didn't decide it was his duty to arrange a match for her.

“I was reading!” he protested, the sound of his voice muffled as he was forced into a hug by his brother—a hug the boy reluctantly returned before being released. He was too old for hugs, but privately did not hate them as much as he tended to let on.

Freed, Knight eyed Cupcake warily, lest his sister try anything similar. Fortunately, she seemed content to focus upon Honey, at least for now.

“That sounds fun! You must be the prettiest at the ball and Hanny must be well, handsome.” Hun Bun giggled at making reference to her brother’s name.

She sat on the sofa and looked at her brother.“We did! We did! Mother brought us to the quidditch for children and Knight seems to be great at making friends.” She teased. In truth, she caught him with an orphan girl who was ready to burst in to tears. “We played a lot in the park too!”

[Sweetie Whitledge]

OOC- Kayte told me through PM that she didn't mind that I join you guys so I hope it's OK. Especially with you Bree since you made it.

There was sudden yelling, that sounded like Sweetie, which came from upstairs. It was followed by several apologies from a maid and a slam of a door after more yelling. Sweetie came downstairs, looking annoyed.
She saw Knight's wary look and a mischievous glow entered her eyes. She went over and ruffled his hair into a ridiculous mess. "Oh Knight in Shining Armor, how I've missed you so." She said tauntingly, being sure to bring all the attention of the sentence onto his full first name, for which she loved to mock him.
She looked at Honey. "And how is my favorite little trouble maker?" She said. Whether it was true or not, Sweetie liked to call her that, mostly from what she has seen of Honey's violent temper.

[Darling Whitledge (Hymn)]

Darling has felt awful for rushing by Knightly and Honey without so much as a "hello", but Sweetie had been in a mood since leaving Hogwarts. Darling tried to ask what was wrong on the way home, but whatever the problem was, Sweetie simply wouldn't say. When Sweetie was in that sort of mood, Darling had learned that it was best to simply leave her alone, and to prepare for the storm that would follow.

As the two sisters went up the stairs and into their room (when were they to get their own rooms?) Sweetie had noticed something that the maid had done wrong and exploded. The "Sweetie Storm" (a clever name, don't you think?) was brief but fierce. The maid was left trembling and near tears as Sweetie marched or of the room, slamming the door. The poor dear had just started this job! Darling consoled the maid, wondering if she should talk to Mama or, perhaps better, Handsome about the outburst. After all, they had lost three maids in the past 2 years because of Sweetie's temper.

After the maid had calmed and the mess that Sweetie made was tidied, Darling left the maid to her duties, gently shutting the door after her. Darling breathed and descended downstairs where the rest of her siblings congregated.

"Hello, Knightly, Honey!" she greeted cheerily. "How are you? Sorry for not greeting you when we arrived. There was... something pressing that I needed to take care of. I hope you'll forgive me!"

[Handsome Whitledge]

Handsome couldn't help but wince, hearing the ruckus that was undoubtedly caused by Sweetie above their heads. She was never as soft-spoken and kind as her other siblings, and her name was the one by far that contradicted her personality type.

He watched as Sweetie came hustling down the stairs, quickly followed by Darling, the peacekeeper of the family. She looked a little more distressed than her older sister, most likely due to the figurative smoke that fumed behind the second eldest Whitledge daughter.

"How nice of you to join us, girls," he said, raising a questioning brow towards Darling. He was curious as to what had angered the Slytherin, but at the same time he wasn't quite sure he wanted to know.

Probably a maid.

"Oh, we're all here!" Cuppy said brightly. She clapped her hands in delight and attempted to smile at all her siblings at once. She did wish that they all did more to comply with their lovely names, especially her sisters, but she could hardly force cheeriness on them. "Oh, Sweetie, do smile more, and yell less. You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar - isn't that right?" She took a moment to wink playfully at her youngest sister.
