Sweetie stood with him. She covered her mouth to stop a gasp, her eyes going wide. When she knew that she wouldn't gasp, she uncovered her mouth. "I am so sorry. We should really get you to the hospital wing." She said. Now she felt really bad. She was also shocked that he didn't feel that.

"Why?" He said cocking an eyebrow. "All ya did was freeze me Sweetie. Okay Gods that is weird to say. Do ya have a nickname?"

Sweetie was so used to her name. She always had been. But as he said it, in that moment, she couldn't help but blush. Like, he was calling her sweetie, instead of Sweetie. "No. I could never think of one. Maybe... you could think of one." She said. Then she looked at his nose again. "And, we really should take you to the hospital wing. I think your nose is broken. Don't you feel it?" She asked.

"Ah. I am honestly so used to it getting broken. Ever seen an entire clan in a bar fight?" He said and pointed his wand at his nose. It straightened with something between a crunch and a crack and the bleeding slowed to a stop.

Sweetie raised an eyebrow. "No, but to be fair, I've never seen a 'clan' either." She said simply. She watched as his nose got fixed, her eyes widening once more. How was he so good at that? She wished that she could do that. That would definitely shut her brother up about her chosen career path. It might have even made her father proud.

"Wait... You dont know how to fix a broken nose? I thought that was common knowledge." He took a few moments to explain the rather simple charm to her. He was starting to realize how... Close she was to him as je was teaching her and his cheeks began to feel a tad hot.

Sweetie watched carefully as he explained. "No, I've never had to fix a broken... well... anything, before." She said. Even household objects, others usually fixed for her. She had been listening, she really had, until he pointed at his nose as he was talking through the charm. Then she got a bit distracted. Not by his nose, of course, but by his lips. She watched as he talked, then glanced as his eyes. She soon noticed how close they truly were to each other, and also noticed his blush. Her cheeks grew hot and she glanced back at his lips.
Now, she was going to do something stupid. After all, they were alone. She felt it was now or never, and she wasn't going to settle for never. She leaned up towards him, and kissed him.

Jalek suddenly felt the brush of lips against his and instinctively leapt backwards with impressive speed. "Wh...ah...er..." A thousand questions all tried to race out of him at once as he now stared at her in confusion. "Where the bloody hell did that come from?!" He finally got out. It wasnt that he hadnt liked the kiss. Quite the opposite in fact. He was just perplexed

Sweetie was in shock when he basically flew back. Maybe she had misread the situation, maybe there was nothing between them. She was now frowning. She watched his confused expression and felt completely embarrassed. "I'm sorry, it was stupid of me. I should get going. It was very nice to meet you." She rambled on quickly. She walked past him quickly. She was now certain that he did not feel the same way, and she felt completely embarrassed.

"W. Wait!" He said and reached out, gently grabbing her upper arm. "I. . I didnt say I didnt like it..." His face was as red as the blood his pounding heart was sending throught his body.

Sweetie stopped, looking back at him. She raised her eyebrow at first, then started to blush more deeply. "I-I... you did?" She mumbled softly. A light flash of hope entered her eyes as she watched him.

Emerald considered herself a lucky individual to be able to participate in various dueling tournaments given past restrictions. For anyone her age, or now those younger, could experience the art of spell work and proper decorum in a semi-professional setting to see their expertise sharpen as the years dragged on. It was because of this thought that led the red head to journey to the great hall in order to observe a fair few duels among students, though what she would never admit to was wishing to potentially catch one of the students in an act of obvious violence that may lead to the use of that shiny badge of hers.

Just rounding the corner to the threshold, Emerald's eyes peered upwards and immediately locked onto that one Slytherin girl whom she had familiarized herself with only days prior. Their initial reaction wasn't at all peachy and had, adversely, left quite the "sour" taste in her mouth. Beyond that however, the witch believed the fourth year couldn't be without a boy's presence for more than a few moments before she began to act even more odd than she did normally--Emerald wasn't exactly in a position to speak upon this issue specifically, but at least being in denial about it helped her cause. What made matters worse was that the boy in question was another Gryffindor, and a year mate no less. Luckily these two shared no notable familial relations, so that was a bonus.

It wasn't until Dronul grasped Ms. Whitledge's upper arm that Emerald gallivanted into the open space, though not before readily announcing her presence with a sharp introduction of "What is it that you think you are doing, Mr. Dronul?" on her way. Had she not been stewing about some petty encounter, she may not have been so keen on targeting the duo. Hell, she may have been too preoccupied observing other students and their supposedly superior displays of magic; magic that, she believed, should have caught the eye of the Slytherin instead of the wand work presented by her lion counterpart. "Is this any way to treat a peer? Grabbing them harshly after some heated duel?" she continued whilst her head shook side to side, "You should know better. The both of you." The latter part of that statement saw Emerald's eyes narrowed at the Whitledge girl, as she, for some reason, figured the brunette would have been better behaved the next time they met.

"Ten points from each of you. I do hope you take this as a learning experience and I would highly suggest the next time you wish to clash, that someone is able to supervise," she offered in quick succession to her previous point, adding "for I wouldn't want anyone ruining their dress once more if they've no reason to." in a humorous yet sarcastic manner. Feeling rather proud of herself in the moment, Emerald stood rigidly before both students so as to display her strict resolve.

"Miss Weasely, I wish to polietly correct you on your points. The first duel was instigated by him." He said tilting his head to the boy who was now back on his feet. "The second is because I had agreed to teach miss Whitledge more advanced techniques for dueling. Nothing about that was heated. Secondly while I admit grabbing her by the arm was unwise it was by no means done harshly." He gave a slight bow as he finished his point.

Emerald was anything but pleased at Mr. Dronul's response. She couldn't entirely wrap her head around the fact that the seventh year boy would actually reach for a young lady, let alone think about doing so, and then proceed to justify it by saying it wasn't done so harshly. Perhaps he just wasn't one who paid enough attention, both in class and to his surroundings, but the prefect could not conjure any reason to dismiss his actions as anything other than simple ignorance, bordering on arrogance at that point.

"Five points for being impertinent. I would suggest retiring before you make it more, Mr. Dronul." the red head replied in a tone akin to her previous speech. She was thankful, at the very least, that his cohort had uncharacteristically remained quiet. The boy wasn't one Emerald would have labelled prior as defensive, however she assumed people just showed their true colors in embarrassing moments.
