    See Inside... Thread
    Day Three; March 26th
Open to one or two of the overnight guests that might be seated with Richard
so probably not one of the staff types of people xD

    (details here)
It wasn't often that Richard did something just for his own enjoyment but when he had heard about the Sandition Spring Fling, he had decided to book a stay there. He had not had a chance to visit the establishment before now and he was finding it quite entertaining. On his first day, he had witnessed some of the beachgoers having some issues with fire. Of all the odd things to find on the beach!

He suspected that either it was some sort of prank by one of the more youthful guests or perhaps a faulty charm. Richard had also had a brush with a fire incident and he had not been back onto the beach ever since. He rather liked his eyebrows as they were and not singed off like that one time that he'd had a patient afflicted with some sort of magical flu that had made the patient spontaneously breathe fire.

The second day of his stay had been a lot more tame. He had intended a reading by Mister Fudge and had purchased the mans book. It had sounded interesting and so he was saving it to read during the more quiet hours at work. Usually, that was at night when the in-patients were hopefully sound asleep. There wasn't usually much activity during the night shift, at any rate. Technically, Richard supposed that he did not need to be doing the graveyard shift now that he was the healer in charge, but he enjoyed pulling his own weight.

Now it was the last day and he had attended a flower show which had been nice enough. And at the present moment, he was watching Romeo and Juliet which was being performed in quite the interesting fashion. "I think I'd hurt myself if I ever attempted any of that," he commented quietly to his neighbor during as the dinner began being served.

Ophelia had as much of an interest in theatrics as a young woman was expected to have, and not a jot more. That being said, she was rather fascinated by the spectacle before her, and she'd been watching with uncharacteristic rapture, so fixated that she'd hardly noticed the others sitting at the table since the lights had first dimmed. Of course @'Armando Dippet' was beside her, probably dozing off because he was a bore that way, but otherwise she'd hardly glimpsed the rest of her table-mates.

Normally she might have been flustered that the dramatic lighting focused on the stage was preventing anyone from seeing the outfit she'd put together; a vision of deep blues sprinkled with pearls and new mother-of-pearl earrings she'd bought on the boardwalk that afternoon, shaped like little seashells. She might also have been vying for the attention of the rather attractive man at her side. As it was, she had been reduced to making appropriate oooh and ahhh noises as the play wound its course.

Her reverie was disrupted, however, when the man beside her spoke. Ophelia nodded, keeping her eye on the acrobats. "I think that's rather the point," she replied quietly, a slight smirk on her lips. "If it looked easy, it wouldn't be quite so impressive, don't you think?"

She might have left it at that, but dinner was being served, so it seemed as though this was as good a time for conversation as any. "It's interesting how they show relationships in the air," she added. "The 'dance' when Romeo met Juliet was one of the most beautiful things I think I've ever seen on stage," she said--not that she had much to compare it to. Her last trip to the theatre, the leading lady had been anything but graceful.
