The frown she received made her feel as if he was truly repentant. His apology was hushed but accompanied with a grin. She was not quite sure how sincere his apology was, but she decided to take it at face value. He had apologized and she simply nodded in acceptance. There wasn't a smile or a word spoken, but her brow relaxed slightly. She was still tense, for he had made her incredibly uncomfortable, but she had at least forgiven him.
"Like a child you say?" She asked suddenly, her eyes alight once more. He seemed like the perfect candidate to assist her in what she had come here for. "Would you mind helping me pick out treats for the students then? I haven't a clue what they might like." At least she could put his efforts to some good use. He had not frightened her off, nor would she judge him enough to completely block herself off from him.
Since she had forgiven him, she allowed for him to touch her, but she made sure that his hand did not linger. She was not above stepping away from him or batting his hand away. Violet left the flower in her hair and simply responded with a small smile. His advances were something she figured that the less response he received from her the better. She did not want to encourage him, because one more statement like the one that had set her off and she would be forced to be rude and leave the store.
"Your charm work is impressive," She said to shift the conversation from herself to him once more.

Cage smiled tentatively at her as she spoke of his charmwork, and he chuckled hesitantly.
"When you've dealt with the people I have, charm works better than force," he spoke honestly. Cage took to obliging her and he walked about the shelves, picking and choosing the best candies that he enjoyed and ones that looked like they would be enjoyable to children.
"My father and brother are quite dismayed by my charm however," Cage admitted to cheerfully. "Which makes me want to charm people all the more." Cage spoke as he grasped the last candies from the shelf and turned to Violet, looking down at her fondly.
"See there? Childlike again," he grinned crookedly down at her before turning to lay the goods on the counter. She was captivating, but he was in a standstill, ready to retreat. She was none to be easily won by his charms. And that made the game all the more fun.
"There. That should do for the children for now," he spoke in a low and affectionate tone. "Is there any further need of my services madame? I suppose I have been bothersome enough for today." And his eyes crinkled with a smile at that.

She followed him around as he picked out which treats and candies he liked. Several of them surprised her because they did not seem to be something that a child would like. Then again, she didn't have much experience with children and knew nothing at all of what they would like. Hopefully, he was child-like enough to have the same taste as they did. As she watched him, she felt herself calm down. He was interested in helping her and it was enough to convince her that her anger had been slightly dramatic.
Calm and quiet once more, she followed him to the counter and extracted coins from her coin purse. It was embroidered with a pattern of violets, the only thing she possessed that referred to her name. Aside from the flower currently in her hair, of course. "Thank you Mr. Wakefield. I truly appreciate it; I'm sure the children will as well. I fear I have terrible taste in candy when it comes to them," She said sincerely and her gaze flicked down to the pile of candy upon the counter.
He spoke in a much more affectionate tone than he had started out. Perhaps it wasn't often that he was scolded for such behavior. Whatever she had done to change his mind in how he treated her, she hadn't a clue. Usually when a man was rejected, he simply left. From what she'd seen at least, for she'd never had the chance to reject a man before meeting Cage Wakefield. "None that I can think of, I'm afraid," She told him with a small yet kind smile.

Cage caught her smile, and his mind was a torment of emotions. He wanted her, surely he did. But she intriguing him and captivated him slightly as well. She was intelligent and bright, and passionate. He could see that from the way she spoke of books. He continued to wonder if she'd ever known the touch of a man, if she'd ever even known a kiss. And suddenly, she'd certainly given him a challenge.
Cage waved off Violet as she took her coins out of the quaint purse she held, and he simply smiled a little. "Allow me. The least I may do for my...transgressions today." He dumped a couple galleons on the table and turned back to Violet for a moment.
Cage bowed his head to her, a crooked smile on his face as he watched her. "Then I may take my leave my lady," he spoke. He dared not reach for her hand again, not quite yet. "But I expect we shall meet again my lady. Good afternoon to you." And with that he winked, sliding his bowler back on and slipping toward the exit of the shop.

OOC: Thanks for the fun thread love! <3 I'll slip it into the archives. :]
Violet was entirely innocent when it came to men. She had never been kissed or touched - aside from the arms and elbows and waist as etiquette required. She knew nothing of what transpired between a man and a woman for she had quite sheltered herself from it. It was fairly common for girls to not know what to expect to happen on their wedding night. It was taboo and uncomfortable to talk about and most mothers did not pass such information on to their daughters. Violet had had no mother, nor had she even been interested in educating herself. She had a vague idea of what happened between a couple, but she did not have a clear perception even of what a man looked like naked.
"That is very kind of you, Mr. Wakefield," She replied with slightly pink cheeks and a pleased smile. He had proved to her that he could be a gentleman if he tried. With the candy paid for, he quickly made his exit. "Good afternoon," Violet returned with a slightly wider smile than before. She watched as he slipped outside and then turned to the cashier who had quickly bagged up the candy.
The woman thanked him, took the bag in her hand, and headed out the door with rather mixed feelings about the man. It had ended on a positive note and she felt herself thinking that perhaps one day, she would make a visit to his home to see his library.
