Cordelia has long brown hair which cascades down her back in waves when left loose. With even darker eyes and a figure she frequently struggles to play down (to say Cordy dresses conservatively would be an understatement at this point in her life), it's safe to say that Cordy is a sight to behold (even if she's not nearly as beautiful as her elder sister) She stands at five feet two inches tall and has an average shape that is made thinner by the tight lacings of her corset. Cordy is right handed.

1860 | Age: 0
On the day of her birth, Cordeliaââ¬â¢s father anxiously paced the length of his study willing for the news to announce a male child. A son was necessary to continue on his family line, and his wife had two other sons by another man ââ¬â he had to have a boy. One can imagine his immense disappointment when he was introduced to a screaming baby girl named Cordelia.
Desdemona follows in Perpetuaââ¬â¢s disappointing strand of girls (third in a row!).
Cressida is born, and yet again Huxley is extremely disappointed in his lack of an heir. Now with four girls to care for and raise, he then decides that each girl shall have two seasons to find a husband, should they fail they must then find a job. Cordelia isnââ¬â¢t much fussed by this decree, but she was entirely fascinated by ââ¬Åthe babyââ¬Â. Whenever she could she was standing beside the cradle simply looking at Cressida sleeping.
Cordy first displays magic at the magical age of seven. Sheââ¬â¢s in the familyââ¬â¢s garden sketching and the butterfly sheââ¬â¢d been drawing seems to float off her page and flutter away. Sheââ¬â¢s both ecstatic to have finally showed she has magic, and terrified that something so random had just occurred.
Finally Perpetua and Huxley are blessed with a son. They christen him as Florizel and heââ¬â¢s flaunted anywhere and everywhere. Cordelia is less impressed by Florizel than she was by Cressida, but this was mostly due to the knowledge that her elder sister would soon be fleeing the nest. Isabella was off to her first year at Hogwarts, and Cordelia wouldââ¬â¢ve given her right arm to be off right alongside with her.
In the summer of 1870 Cordy finally receives her Hogwartsââ¬â¢ letter after two years of fiddling her thumbs waiting. Sheââ¬â¢s taken to Diagon Alley to do her shopping, dressed in a new uniform, and is shipped off to sail across the great lake leading to her new home. Cordelia is utterly amazed by the expanse of the castle and immediately takes to life away from home. Sheââ¬â¢s sorted into Hufflepuff after a long debate between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw.
During her first school year, she meets her current best friend Miss Catherine Slater. The two were year and house mates and to this day Cordy doesnââ¬â¢t know where sheââ¬â¢d be without Catherine. The two are like peanut butter and jelly.
As Cordy moved into her second year at school she found herself being most comfortable in classes such as charms, and potions, and defense against the dark arts. Herbology, and divination simply didnââ¬â¢t click with her. It wasnââ¬â¢t that she was bad in these subjects, just that she understood simple charms and spells and potion ingredients easier than she understood how to care for the ingredients and how to read tea leaves.
Cordelia did exceedingly well on her OWLs, but decided to only continue on with the classes that would assist her in her goals to be a healer. All other classes (with the exception of the mandatory ones) were immediately dropped, much to the dismay of her family.
With the town of Hogsmeade recently established a short whiles away from Hogwarts, Cordy goes on the "visits" to explore the town. However, her explorations are cut short when she sees the lack of help in the overfull orphanage. From that point on Cordelia uses her Hogsmeade weekends to volunteer at the orphanage and quickly bonds with some of the young children.
Isabella also has her first child, a son, and Cordy is utterly taken with the baby.
Finally, after long years of schooling and endless amounts of dedication, Cordelia finishes school and is flaunted off as one of the "better" catches of the middle class for her year. She's intelligent, beautiful, and not at all invested in any of her suitors. Somehow, Cordy manages to turn down both serious offers and begin her interning at the hospital as an artifact's incidents healer. Cordelia knows she's happier working than she'd ever be married to some man and living a life such as Bella.
Catherine gets married in the winter to Mr. Range and Cordelia serves as the maid of honor. It was a beautiful ceremony, a beautiful day, a beautiful experience altogether. The sheer elegance of it all made Cordy slightly envious of her best friend. Then, she went back to work the next day and such feelings quickly evaporated.
Isabella has her second son. Not long after the birth, Cordelia begins actually working as a healer as opposed to just an intern. Her father still isn't happy that she'd turned down two letters, but he accepts the fact that Cordy is fully acknowledging the decree that she must work.
Dezzie finishes school as Florizel starts it. Catherine has her first child, a daughter named Vienna.
In June, Cordelia is devastated to learn that Bella's children were to be taken from her because of the "scandal" Isabella had involved herself in. Cordy didn't believe such cruel lies and beseeched everyone who did, but it was all for naught. The two babies were taken by Bella's husband's cousin and that was the end of it.
On a particularly busy day at work Cordy is assigned to work on Mr. Porter's case. He was all out of sorts and stuck in the hospital for many days, and for some reason Cordy couldn't bring herself to let one of the nurses or other healers take over for her (even when it was time to go home) She'd never been the type to believe in "when you know, you just know", but this was very much the case between her and Charles.
Once Charles was out of the hospital and feeling well again, the pair began attending social events just to spend more time with one another. Cordy never once mentioned him to her family though, not by name anyway, due to the fact that their relationship wasn't even remotely "proper".
Cordelia is taken aback when Charles spontaneously proposes to her one day. They'd been enjoying a quiet afternoon together, and then when she turned around to face him he was down on one knee. She said yes without a second's hesitation (how could she even think to hesitate? They were in love!) and that night announced the engagement at dinner with her family.
If Cordy had known her Charles was the same Charles who had so cruelly kept Isabella's children from her Cordy would never had pursued the relationship. She would've chosen her family over the whole "love at first sight" sensation. But her feelings for Charles weren't just "love at first sight" anymore. They were intense. They were emotional. They were attached, and Cordy wasn't about to forsake her chance at love just because of her sister. There had to be some sort of happy medium. There had to be.
