Appearance: A relatively short man when compared with his colleagues, Ewan stands at 5"8. He is of a slim build, but is by no means weedy: he is lean but has muscles hidden underneath his suits. His dark hair is somewhat longer than it probably should be, but it is kept neatly enough, as is his smattering of facial hair. He is left-handed.
History:
1849 | Ewan is born the eldest son of a middle class Irish lawyer.
1851 | Ewan's younger brother, Collin, is born.
1853 | His sister, and the youngest Marguiles child, Siobhan, is born.
1855 | Ewan demonstrates magical ability for the first time, and is eager to attend school and develop his natural gift.
1860 | Ewan is invited to Hogwarts and is sorted into Slytherin in September for his ambition and determination.
1867 | Ewan graduates from Hogwarts, and decides he would like to be involved in education behind the scenes. He is not interested in teaching, as he excelled in no particular subject, and joins the WEA instead.
1868 | Ewan meets a young woman named Rose at a ball and falls for her quite quickly. They begin corresponding following the meeting and he endeavours to get to know her, with a view to courting her.
1869 | Ewan pursues Rose and proposes to her. He is somewhat surprised to learn she is younger than he expected, but he loves her nonetheless and they marry in autumn.
1870 | Robert is born.
1872 | Ellen Ivy is born.
1874 | Oliver is born.
1875 | Theresa is born.
1880 | Following the death of Rose's father, the family ask her mother to join them in their family home. He also encourages his wife to write her first book.
1881 | Rose's book is published.
1883 | Following a recommendation from his brother-in-law, Ewan and his family move to Irvingly to be closer to his work at the Ministry. In September, Ellen attends Hogwarts and is sorted into her father's former house.
