Bree has a more petite build than her sister Ainsley and Aibhlinn, but she has the same small nose, full lips, angular pale face and dark features with freckles on her shoulders. She's got lighter hazel coloured eyes than her sisters, with one eye appearing a bit darker than the other. She's not very tall, a little bit under average at 5'3 1/2" but she has a small frame with small breasts and very little curves. Corsets don't do all that much for her, but they create at least a little bit of a curve so her mother and older sister like her to wear them ûeven though she finds they suffocating. Her family likes to call her an enigma, because she can go from looking completely unremarkable to completely stunning depending on the day, and you never know which version of her is going to step out.
She wears both simple dresses with finely tailored coats and little hats and more elaborate bustled affairs for special occasions.
History: Brigid was excited for the move to Hogsmeade when she was younger. Already attending Hogwarts she had longed to be further immersed in the world of witches and wizards, and thought her family should be among her own kind, rather than around the muggles that didn't want them there. She misses Ireland a little bit, and when they moved she pretended to be upset like her siblings, thinking it best to keep it to herself because they were all so upset by it.
She had been sorted into Ravenclaw, like Ainsley, though she didn't socialize much with her sister in school. They weren't really close around the house either as Ainsley preferred the company of their older brother Aengus and Bree preferred the company of herself.
Bree dabbled in art for a while, but she wasn't as good as her sister, and the family knew it, so to save herself the embarrassment, she pursued other interests such as horse back riding and flower arrangement. She became particularly good with the piano. Like her sister, her parents supported this growing talent, and had the grand in the tea room aligned so that the room could hold many guests to comfortably listen to her mini recitals. She began to create her own music, and she has a stellar memory and has an ear for music, so a lot of her compositions aren't even written on paper.
She became obsessed, erratic, hard to pin down in her 6th year, and nobody knew what to do with her. Her grades began to slip, and she put more energy into the duelling club and her compositions. When she was removed from the duelling club ûthey were cracking down on women being involved û she was furious, blew out a wall in the library and knocked over an entire giant bookshelf. She was nearly kicked out of Hogwarts as a safety precaution, but her parents convinced the school to allow her to stay and she got detention for the whole entire year. She began to keep to herself more than she already did, and gave short bursts of unexpected energy that surprised people.
The summer before her 7th year she caught the drapes in her room on fire by candle fire, having shut herself in for days working on a new piano composition. She spent a night in the hospital from smoke inhalation. Shortly after she disappeared for a week, and was found in the slums where an old woman had taken her in after she had told her she was an orphan and a squib û the old woman put up a fight giving her up. She spent the rest of the summer being watched closely by her family, and continually criticized by her awful sister Aibhlinn who thought she could keep her in line.
Her sister found a husband at the Coming Out Ball when she finished school, and Ainsley had seemed to have fallen in love, but Bree was rather unsuccessful in that area. Of course, her reputation didn't help matters. There were a few suitors who showed interest, some of them came around the house and spoke with her parents, and her parents û wanting to dump her and her troubles on somebody û had lied and told them that Brigid was just a shy girl who wanted to be married and have children, but that she was rather slow, but beautiful.
She found out what they said and actually jinxed one of the men, and told the others she would put up a horrible fight if any of them tried to touch her because she knew that was all they were after.
Now she's the burden of her parents. She wished to get a job in the hospital upon finishing school, and her parents are beginning to cave, since she has no further marriage prospects... they're beginning to lose hope.
Personality: Up until Brigid was 16 she was a shy girl; she kept to herself, stayed intent on her studies and hobbies, and never put up a fuss in her family. She was a good child, even when she felt that she was being treated unjustly. This changed when she was around 16, and her behaviour became more erratic. She would go from being perfectly content to irrational, uneasy and hyper active in the blink of an eye, and sometimes û less often û will stay in her room, eat very little and not talk to anyone for long periods. Her parents just chalked up this behaviour to being a young, irrational teenager, but if she were around in later years she probably wouldn't have been diagnosed with type II bipolar disorder.
Bree has always developed a bit of an obsessive personality. Her hobbies took over her life in her final year of school û the duelling club, piano playing û and her grades started to slip. Nevertheless she finished school was semi-decent marks, let her parents down, and now has no marriage prospects because her unpredictable personality has scared a few would-be suitors away.
