Appearance:

Caoimhe took largely after her father in her appearance, sans her hair and eyes. Her hair is long and, like her mother's hair once did, seems to shift between brown and auburn, depending on the light. She wears it up in a simple but sweet fashion, managing and styling it all on her own. Her eyes are green, which are a blend of a spring-like green and a deep sea-green. On certain days, the bright green seems more prominent, while on other days, the darker shade seems the more dominant tone. It all depends on the day, the light, and sometimes her clothes.

Caoimhe has a lanky but feminine form, somewhat taller than the average girl at five feet, five inches. Being of the lower class, her clothes are slightly worn and bland in color, but sturdy. Although she enjoys wearing her robes at school, she wears muggle clothes outside of school due mostly to familiarity. Caoimhe is right-handed.

History:

1872 Marianne Caoimhe Keating was born in a small village outside of Limerick, Ireland to Eoghan Keating and his wife, Molly.

1878 Uncle Ezra left to find a mystical town, created by wizards for wizards. Caoimhe was sad to see her uncle leave and secretly jealous. How she wished she was able to do magic!

1881 Her fell ill early in the year. By Spring, Uncle Ezra was back in Ireland, caring for his sister in what way he could. Caoimhe was happy to see her uncle again, despite the circumstances. Molly’s health continued to degrade as the year progressed.

1882 Molly died in the summer. Ezra remained in Ireland, mainly caring for Caoimhe while her father was at work, or at the pub. In the early fall, Ezra had to leave and return to the mysterious wizarding town he now called home. In the winter, Caoimhe discovered the most amazing thing! She was a witch! Her father had her write her uncle.

1883-1884, First Year By the beginning of the new year, Caoimhe had relocated to Hogsmeade. In the fall, she started her first year at Hogwarts. She was sorted into Hufflepuff. Her first year at Hogwarts proved to be difficult. She had trouble with her classes and her writing skills were not up to par with most of her peers.

Summer 1884 When her first year ended, Caoimhe returned to her uncle’s house and helped around the house. Like her uncle, she managed to survive the Summer of the Laughing Plague, though she had suffered some mild effects.

1884-1885, Second Year In early November, she received word from her uncle that he had married a Miss Fionnuala Dáirine of the Hebrides. Caoimhe had been quite shocked by the news as she hadn't even known that he had been courting! However, over the Christmas holiday, she learned that their marriage had been an elopement—all while under the influence of amortentia no less. Shortly after returning to school, Caoimhe had a run-in with Mr @'Alfalfa Tinker', who was trying to get a rise out of her and thought kissing her would do the trick. Instead, neither having kissed or been kissed before, Alfalfa and Caoimhe were both left with some mixed feelings about the experience. Mr Tinker became particularly awkward about Caoimhe afterwards. In March, Caoimhe's aunt wrote her to expect a cousin later that year. Caoimhe had mixed feelings about the news. After all, Uncle Ezra and Aunt Nuala still had undetermined feelings about each other.

Summer 1885 Caoimhe went to the Hebrides to be with her uncle and aunt. She spent the summer assisting and attending to her aunt, per her uncle's request while he worked. Nearing the start of Caoimhe's third year, her cousin Niall was born.

1885-1886, Third Year Caoimhe selected Muggle Studies (as she was curious to learn how the wizarding community perceived muggles), Divination, and Care of Magical Creatures. Uncle Ezra and Aunt Nuala relocated to Hogsmeade in the winter.

Summer 1886 Now fourteen, Caoimhe decides to find work over the summer to help earn her keep. She secures a position at the Owl Emporium as a summer employee.

1886-1887, Fourth Year Caoimhe begins her fourth year in high spirits, but she slowly begins to realize that her time at Hogwarts is coming to an end.

Summer 1887 Caoimhe returned to her summer job at the Owl Emporium. Shortly after returning to work, Caoimhe purchased her own owl, whom she deemed “Pangur Bán” (nickname: Bán) after noticing his love for hunting mice. (He also likes to leave her presents on her windowsill in the morning.) Caoimhe was at the Wizarding World Market asking as a representative of the Hogsmeade Owl Emporium. Fortunately, she only suffered minor injuries, but Caoimhe felt quite useless. Still underage, Caoimhe couldn't use magic – and she felt even worse after her wand was crushed by the rubble. Yet another thing she will have to replace before school starts again.
