    Appearance:
Belphoebe is best described as striking. She certainly wasn’t a staggering beauty as a young lady, with a wider mouth than she’d like, but has rather come into her rather angular jawline and features since. At 5’3” and right handed her stature isn’t anything particularly remarkable, being neither lean nor exceptionally curvy, but her brown eyes are particularly sharp and bright. Belphoebe’s hair is a matching dark brown, free of any hard to tame curl and she wears clothes that are fashionable enough to convey that she is a woman of (some) means, but that are discreet enough for her line of work. She has a particular love of richer reds and emerald greens, though obviously not together. As a child she was slightly cross-eyed, though this was corrected whilst she was still a baby.
    History:
1850 | Belphoebe is born to Oliver and Helena Trimble in Ottery St. Catchpole. Oliver works primarily as an investor so spends much of Belle’s youth travelling between their home and London.
1853 | A second daughter, Maeb, is born. Maeb is sicklier than Belphoebe had ever been, though Belle is kept from exactly how sick she is.
1854 | The rather inevitable happens and Maeb dies early in the year. Belle is as sad as a four year old can be.
1856 | Belphoebe shows her first sign of magic (mercifully in the privacy of their home) when her governess refuses to allow her into her father’s library, prompting all the books to fly down the hall into Belle’s room.
1857 | Finally a brother, Oscar, is born and Belle is happy to finally have a healthy sibling and an heir for her father.
1861 | Belphoebe heads off to Hogwarts and is sorted into Ravenclaw which surprises approximately no one.
1863 | For her third year, Belle picks up arithmancy, divination and ancient runes.
1865 | The September of her fifth year sees Belphoebe return to Hogwarts as a prefect, something she is rather proud of.
1866 | Belle achieves Os in all her subjects (save an E in Divination) and she elects to continue transfiguration, charms, potions, arithmancy, ancient runes and defence against the dark arts for her NEWTs, a slightly overwhelming timetable of six subjects that she manages all the same.
1868 | Belphoebe comes out the day after she turns eighteen, and whilst her season is a relative success, she makes it approximately two weeks into her season before she complains to her rather doting father than she can’t stand the boredom anymore. Her father agrees and allows for her to work for the Department of Mysteries as a secretary. Belle has zero intention to remain in the job for long, as she is sure she will either marry and have children (incompatible with working in her mind) or will get a job more deserving of her talents.
1869 | After a year of being a secretary she convinces her father she is being wasted in her current job and with no match on the horizon, she begins work as an Unspeakable.
1873 | Rather out of the blue, Belle’s brother dies of dragon pox. This leaves her her father’s heiress but by the time she is out of mourning she is practically a spinster so sees no point in pursuing marriage.
1877 | Magic is exposed. Belphoebe and her Mother are in London at the time, visiting a family friend. When the three witches apparate into an alley together, her mother's invisibility cloak slips and a witness raises a mob. Her daughter and friend are unable to help and are forced to watch what unfolds less they draw attention to their location.. Belle’s grief is totally surpassed by her father’s who, on the advice of his doctor, goes travelling for two years in an attempt to reconcile with his grief. Belphoebe is left in charge of the house whilst he is gone, a responsibility she takes to quite easily.
1879 | Her father returns, and she finds him totally changed. Despite her best efforts, her father is unbearably distant and not entirely with it the whole time. Used to having the house to herself, Belphoebe purchases herself a home in Bartonburg and moves out.
1884 | Still working as an Unspeakable, Belle’s home is safe from the fire although she does contract the laughing plague. She recovers before it gets too serious, however, something she is rather thankful for.
1885 | To her shock, the Head of the Department of Mysteries vacates his position and she is named as the (albeit interim) replacement.
    Personality:
Highly intelligent, Belphoebe is a true Ravenclaw and possesses a rather quick wit and a logical mind. She has little patience for those who simply choose to ignore rational progression or who elect to try and downplay their intelligence, seeing little cause for it. Despite her position she is actually conservative in her beliefs and would never dream of trying to juggle a family with a career or the possibility of a vote (largely because she feels it will simply not happen, and her father votes how she says anyway). Belphoebe is rather organised and very capable, as well as being reasonably perceptive beyond having trained in legilimency and occlumency.

unless you're related to him, work under him, or are a mudblood, lucius is actually very friendly. your character might find him intimidating, but would not consider him a giant dick, esp. if they are also a UCPB.
