Put a charming twist on the activities for your next event, see what Mrs. Longbottom had planned for her guests at her recent hunting party!
Longbottom Hunting Party; What to Emulate for Your Next Event! Mrs. Demetria Longbottom hosted quite the event in celebration of the birth of her sons. The hunting party was a particularly delightful event; ladies take notice of Mrs. Longbottom’s success and creativity. Aside from the hunt itself (in which no animals were harmed!) the outdoor party offered several different activities aside from dancing. While there was a dance floor with live music and the refreshments were simply divine, the Longbottoms also set up a ring-toss, archery, horseshoes and ax-throwing! It was a spectacular mix of harmless games working up to some that required demonstrating serious skill! The event even raised money for a local charity thanks to the musical talents of a ghost bard writing personalized songs for guests.
The Hunting party featured faux animals that disappeared into a cloud of smoke when hit!
Several notable attendees included Mr. Garrett Wallingford, in the pleasant company of Miss Aurelia Herondale. Miss Herondale’s brother, Mr. James Herondale was seen in the company of Miss Rowena Holwick, helping her recover from a fall from her horse. Mr. Wesley Cavanaugh, Head of the Department of Magical Games and Sports, expecting a new arrival of his own in less than a month’s time was in his element, assisting Miss Zipporah Keaton navigate the horseshoe pits. Coincidentally, Mr. Sydney Podmore and Miss Elaine Carmichael also seemed to be enjoying the horseshoes. Thankfully there were no major incidents, other than a few small accidents, though Miss Nathalie Jennings did need a little work on her aim in the archery range!
No doubt Mrs. Longbottom can consider the event a solid success, guests were quite occupied by the different events and layout of the party. Nobody was seen idling without something to do, even if it was simply to watch the impressive hunt take off! When planning your next party, consider taking Mrs. Longbottom’s example into mind; spread out a wide variety of activities to ensure your guests are thoroughly occupied and quite content!

There have, of course, been many biographies written on each of the founders of Hogwarts, but Mr. Powdrickle writes his with good humor and, perhaps, a bit of embellishment, but it all makes for a surprisingly pleasant read.
Ghosts of Hogwarts
by Leopold Hodunk
A look into the past lives of some of Hogwarts' resident ghosts. There may be some controversy over the book, as it appears Mr. Hodunk did not interview the ghosts themselves, but it still proves to be an engrossing read, and quite interesting for any fans of history.
