It is important not to exceed the quantities specified in the recipe, or one may find their beauty sleep lasts rather a lot longer than one had expected! Sleeping Potion
Though there are all manner of beautifying potions on offer these days, there is surely nothing better - and more natural - than a good night of sleep to flatter a young lady's complexion. But sleep can be rather hard to come by when one is beseiged by the wide variety of concerns which a young woman must contend with daily.

But there is a remedy. While sleeping potions are not ideal for long term use, there are quite useful when natural sleep appears to be impossible before an important occasion. A professional potion is, of course, preferable, but it is not difficult to stir up one's own conconction when absolutely essential with the right ingredients and a timeless recipe from Zygmunt Budge's Book of Potions.

    4 sprigs of wormwood
    4 sprigs of valerian
    2 drops of lobberworm mucus
    1 sopophorus bean
    Powdered asphodel petals
    Essence of nettle

First, crush the wormwood and add to your cauldron, stirring slowly. The valerian is to follow, added to your cauldron which should be brought to a high heat. Next, the flobberworm mucus which, though by no means glamorous, makes for a useful ingredient in all manner of potions. We would recommend you purchase your mucus pre-juiced. Stir your ingredients vigorously, lowering the heat. Next comes the sopophorus bean, which should be chopped and added to the cauldron whilst stirring vigorously. Finally, sprinkle a pinch of powdered asphodel petals and a dash of essence of nettle, stirring to combine and thus completing the potion.

The House of Lytton does it again; a fabulous event featuring fun and fashion! The Meaning of Love:
Mr. Lytton's St. Valentine's Charity Ball

Mr. Marcus Lytton has outdone himself again, this time hosting a St. Valentine’s ball for the romantic in everyone. Not only was the event a showcase for Mr. Lytton’s newest special creations, it was also a charity auction! Mr. Lytton auctioned off the six stunning designs to raise money for local charities.

Miss Porphyria Dempsey had the most memorable outfit of the evening!

The Hogsmeade Memorial ballroom was decked out in soft hues of pink and white with floating candles and a relaxed ambiance of romance. Attendees were encouraged to dress for the theme and represent what love meant to them. Guests of the event enjoyed refreshments and dancing before the auction at the conclusion of the evening.

Miss Octavia Lytton looked stunning her designer gown. Other notable guests of the event included Miss Porphyria Dempsey, Miss Ligeia Beaudelaire and Miss Virginia Carmichael, all looking fashionable in their own rights. Though Miss Dempsey’s interpretation of the evening was quite extreme, no doubt an ode to a tragic love story, she was certainly not outshined in creativity!
