Edgar, apart from his ill-placed first year counterparts, was actually enjoying his time at the castle as he had Fudge to keep him company. Although she was a rather new addition to the "family", she seemed somewhat taken with him - at least in his mind. He wanted to believe such was the case to make her trip to the castle worthwhile and assumed she would have heavily protested by now if she truly wasn't enjoying her time.

A busy day led the both of them to the Gryffindor dorm where Edgar was settling in for the night. He had taken notice of his feline companion's slight annoyance in regards to her sleeping arrangements so allowed her passage upon his puffy blankets. The only rule he had for her was that she remain underneath them so as not to cause resistance if he were to turn during the night or pull them for whatever reason.

Edgar figured himself to be a responsible and delicate pet owner, despite his lack of experience prior, thus decided to tuck in Fudge as tight as he could. He didn't want to hurt her, of course, but he was slightly more frightened about her hurting him. Swaddling the clawed beast was his next plan of action had she acted out. The thought, however, remained ensnared within his mind as he closed both eyes, turning to his side where he hoped to endure a lengthy slumber.

To say that their sleeping arrangement was satisfactory would have been an overstatement. It was rather stifling beneath the blankets, something she did not think had occurred to her brother with his lack of fur. The blankets were thick and heavy - almost too heavy for her to crawl out from underneath once he'd tucked her snugly in. After realizing that he would rather stubbornly continue to tuck her in until she stayed there, she had decided to wait to move this time until he was asleep.

Once the rhythm of his breathing evened and she believed him to be sleeping, she wiggled back and forth until the blanket around her loosened enough for her to slip out. She cast a careful glance at him before she crept upward and began to paw at his pillow. That was much more comfortable for her than being suffocated beneath the blanket.

Much more content with this situation, she began to purr.

Edgar's mind had begun to drift off when he felt his head bobbing slightly as if his pillow was being shaken. Initially, he thought the occurrence had been a result of his dream and paid little attention to it, though an uneasy purring noise caught him off guard. Had he been more experienced with cats, or owning a pet in general, he may not have been that frightened, however this couldn't prevent the bout of thrashing that ensued to ward off the imaginary terrors he believed lurked nearby.

The sheets had woven around his limbs in the fit and ultimately caused the boy to fall onto the floor, creating a loud bang that immediately woke his unconscious body. Groggily, and pained, Edgar picked himself up, along with the sheets, and rubbed his eyes before he noticed the true cause of this horrific scene - Fudge. He wished he didn't care for her as much as he actually did, for it would have made punishing her all the more simpler. But, he assumed the feline felt comfortable enough now and he really had no intention of disturbing her, so he carefully made his way back onto his bed and pulled the sheets up to his chin.

"I hope you sleep well. That's a comfy pillow, you know." He whispered as his hand extended to scratch Fudge's head.
