    Dear Madam Pendergast,
I am writing to inquire as to whether or not there is a need for a teacher of the arts at your finishing school.  I have been teaching music, singing, dancing, and ettiquette for well over a decade starting with tutoring in my days at Hogwarts. Over the years i have taught students from many upper class families, and have a great many patrons whom are able to acknowledge my abilities. Regardless of any openings for such a job, I also wish to extend an offer. Each year I take my finest students to put on a concert. It would be an honor to play for you and your school.
    -Respectfully, Damen Thornton.

    Mr. Thornton,

    [Insert appropriate pleasantries here]

Though I appreciate your inquiry, I would be a poor headmistress indeed if I allowed my pupils to find themselves without instruction in such crucial areas at the middle of the year. As such, I am presently very well-staffed in that regard, and have no need for your services at present. If you would like, I can keep your name on record, should a vacancy appear.

I shall, however, be happy to entertain the notion of allowing my pupils to attend one of your shows. Please provide the dates and location(s) as appropriate, and I will investigate whether it might fit into our social calendar.

    Sincerely,

    Mrs. O. R. L. Pendergast
