    Dear Hogsmeade
    #1
    7th June, 1887

For the attention of the Citizens of Hogsmeade,

In light of the so-called ‘Reconciliation Day’ two days hence, Madam Flint would like to take the chance to remind the citizens of Hogsmeade as to what caused this rift between our two species to start with.

I am sure any self-respecting family will know the cost paid by wizarding society a decade ago- our lost parents, defiled children, missing loved ones, will be ever present in my own mind, and mind of all the others. To invite those responsible for their massacre into our stronghold, the very town keeping us safe, is an affront not just to their memory, but to their sacrifice. Their deaths taught us the need to keep ourselves separate from those that fear and desire our magic for themselves.

I wholeheartedly urge even those who were fortunate enough not to know the loss caused in 1877 to respect those still grieving and boycott the celebrations.

We cannot trust the muggles at our doorstep any more than we would trust a wolf amongst the sheep. The muggle presence in the village may be temporary, you cry! But who is to say that the muggles have not already contrived to see to it that those responsible for raising the wards again will not be able to do so, or that there will not be loopholes left? And what good can be gained from muggles seeing our way of life? They will only learn what they may exploit or grow more envious of our powers and attempt to take them for themselves yet again.

Whilst the streets will not be a safe place on the 9th and 10th, I also urge the populace not to flee to the city of London. All those of education know the telegraph wires set there are to inhibit magical function, and to hide amongst the wolves would be to put yourself and your family in the path of the hurricane when they turn against us in jealously and barbarous hatred once again.

With this said, I am pleased to invite all those of known and pure blood into my own home for the duration of the weekend. The most comfortable and convenient lodgings will be provided for all who wish to take shelter, and most importantly, the finest spell-workers shall erect all known precautions to shield the inhabitants from the muggle incursion.

To those of impure blood who are still humane enough to sympathise with what is written here, similarly protected accommodation is offered at my own expense at Grey Barn House, half a mile from Hogsmeade.

The Flint Institute, of course, shall be afforded the same protections, and children lodged there will be housed at my own home.
    Madam Flint
Plastered to every lamppost, billboard, and tree in Hogsmeade.

All Purebloods will have had a copy delivered to their homes along with more personal invitations, including all UCPBs, MCPBs, and LCPBs with respectable jobs in the ministry/hospitals/Hogwarts.
