Regina did not know completely how well Lily would take this. A person just randomly coming over and asking to stay for a couple of days? She would be weirded out, that was sure. But she couldn't help but try her best to remain calm. Being hesitant and nervous was not going to help her case. She needed to see how this will go, and she hopefully could convince the Slytherin to let the Gryffindor to stay in her home.
Regina walked up to the home of the Ministry employee, and knocked on the door. The wait felt too long, way longer than it was. She looked around. Hogsmeade, she was familiar with it, but more familiar with the shops, rather than the homes of Hogsmeade. It was different, Irvingly was different. The Gryffindor was broken from her thoughts as the door opened. She looked over and smiled with a warm greeting.

Lily and her parents had just finished a meal and her parents had gone into one of the other rooms while Lily had sequestered herself into the parlor to work on her embroidery. She had not worked at the Ministry for very long but for a woman who had never worked a day in her life prior to her new job, Lily tended to be a little more exhausted these days.
There was a knock upon the door and the maid went to go answer it. Lily knew that whoever it was would be shown in so she didn't bother getting up. It was probably someone for her parents anyway.

It was a short talk with the maid that had allowed her entrance. She was then escorted inside and waited for the maid as she went to talk to Lily. Perhaps she could be quick to convince the brunette into letting her stay, hopefully. This was her first stop, she had never done this before. This could be interesting.
She listened as the maid said that Lily had a visitor. She had to think quickly as to what she was going to say. How could she reason this? How could she get herself to not get laughed out and sent home?

Oh, the person was here for her! How delightful. She felt like her social life had gotten a little sad with the addition of an actual job. Not that she was regretting it when she saw so many attractive men every day. "Regina!" She said when she saw the blonde, feeling comfortable enough to use the womans first name when they were in her own private home. The girl was younger than her but Lily had never been discriminatory about age when it came to her friendships. "Come, sit, what brings you over?
Would you like some tea?" She asked as she ushered the younger woman into the parlor, already signalling the maid to get some tea and small snacks. It felt like forever since she had seen any of her non-working friends though really, that was a bit of an exaggeration.

Regina was glad for the positive reaction to her arrival as she walked in. She returned the smile. If only she had more interactions with others lately. She was starting to worry that people would not want to be her friend anymore from lack of communication. It was the lack of said communication that was her partial reason for doing this.
She took a seat as her friend suggested. Now, she was going to have to think of what to say. "I came by to spend time with a friend. It's been so long, and my debut was certainly not what I thought it to be. I haven't gotten to socialize much, and so I've come to visit you and some others." She said. that was good, for now. She could actually ask the full request later into the conversation. Let it come naturally, as she continued to tell herself.
She had nodded to the offer of tea, and was glad when it had finally arrived. She wasn't sure if she had ever been in Lily's home before, but she felt that it was rather nice. She was, however, more used to the homes of the Upper Class. Though, she didn't judge based on class, or she probably wouldn't be friends with Lily at all.
