It was Ellory's first party since her mother's death. She had been waiting eagerly for the chance to go to one. The past two months hadn't been good for her, relationship-wise. She had been angry and heartbroken by Ben Crouch and she'd viewed the potential of attending parties as a way to move on. Ironically, now that her rigid mourning period was gone and she could do that, she'd made up with him.

What a pity that he couldn't be in attendance. At the same time, their reconciliation was so fresh that Ellory wasn't sure if she'd be ready to meet him in person once more. It was still all too new and Ellory had promised to herself not to jump heads on at her affection for him again.

In any case, she was in a good mood. The one sad, heartbreaking thing that had been eating her from the inside seemed to be in the past now. She was in a festive mood an that showed. She'd made Anne and Thiago Caldiera undergo an entire photoshoot at the Abercrombie parlour before leaving for the party. Now that she was at the party, she'd danced and laughed and screamed and then laughed about screaming and had generally been her loud, exuberant self.

She was in such a good mood that when she walked into a floating candle, which lead to one of the photographs on her dress catching fire, she was more amused than alarmed. "Eee!" Ellory made and laughed. "The Daily Prophet is on fire! You, person!" Ellory made at one of the guests. "I'm going to need your drink!"

An invitation to this particular Halloween event had come as rather a surprise to Nemo, though he supposed that with his brother-in-law running for minister the Fisk family was sort of moving up in the world? What the hell would things be like if Justin won? It was odd to think about, but he also thought the guy would do a hell of a job. He already ran one of the largest departments in the ministry, it was just one step up really  at this point.

It would look good for the family if Nemo made an appearance, or so one of his sisters had told him and so here he was, dressed as a knight and regretting his life's choices. Even with a charm on the armor to lighten it, it was still clunky to move around in, even if it wasn't as heavy as it was supposed to be. He knew he should have tried to pare it down a little bit. Too late now. On the up side, he couldn't really be pulled out onto the dance floor, so that was a bonus at least.

And so we watched from the side, perfectly content to be both anonymous and stationary. He had a glass of something in hand, punch maybe, but drinking it with his helmet on was kind of awkward, so he wasn't getting very far. With the notion to lose pasts of his costume to make it easier to move, Nemo was interrupted by a shrill sound and the accompanying request for his drink. He automatically reached to hand it over, without thinking of why somebody would need his drink, but it was then he realized that the lady's dress was on fire! "I think you'll need more than that!" He fumbled for his wand, but wasn't making much headway thanks to the damn armor!

The knight gave her his drink without question. Ellory liked him already for indulging so easily to her desires. Serious, stuck up people were no fun!

Ellory foolishly believed that splashing the flame with the man's drink would put the fire out. As such, his further desire to help her amused her, given his costume! "You really are a knight in shining armour!" Ellory commented with a chuckle. "I assure you, it'll be quite alright! It's not a big fire, I'll just splash this on, like this-"

She splashed the contents of the glass on the flame and it jumped up. Startled, Ellory jumped right onto the knight. "Ahhh!"

Though Nemo had his doubts, he watched as the young lady splashed the flames- and everything got worse. She crashed into him and with the armor and his general lack of coordination, he went tumbling over, still scrambling for his wand. Some knight he was. What had he been thinking!?

At least the armor softened the blow a little, though he probably wasn't very soft to land on. Nemo groaned as he hit the floor however, and tried his best to get himself righted so he could be of some kind of use. That was easier said than done and he found himself trying to help the lady and himself up at the same time, aware of the flames on her dress. This would be a whole hell of a lot easier if he wasn't in this damn armor!

"Try and roll the flames out!" They were already on the floor after all! Perhaps she could suffocate the flames that way while he tried to get himself sorted out.
