"Are you always this forward?" He asked teasingly since it would be a very short thread if he just ignored her entirely. — Tobin Cartwright in Take A Peek
Did you know? Churchgoers and worshippers had to endure a foul stench during prayers due to the amount of bodies often stored within the vaults of churches and chapels.
I know that mourning is hard. You have suffered a great loss. But shutting out the world will not help. Madness from lack of communication with others will not help. Please, my friend, at least travel to my home, to get out of your own. If you wish, I shall invite your sister, and anyone else. Unless you wish for less people, than it can just be the two of us. I await your response. Happy new year, of course.
I initially would have expected that you of all people would understand the pain of such a loss. Mourning is a time to mourn, Warwick; society by no means expects me to play an active role within its happenings. While you may have felt the pain of losing a mother, I doubt it can compare to the pain of a deceased wife—even the pain of losing a father wasn't as harsh on me. One expects to outlive their parents, but few men like to think of the possibility of losing their wife.
If you feel so inclined, you may stop by my residence. However, do not expect me to entertain you with talk of the professional quidditch tournament, the political decisions of the new minister, or the upcoming season's events. By no means am I in the state of mind to speak of such trivial things.
I never said an active role in society was needed, my friend. Only that accepting support from others is. And so far, you've been pushing all of us away, and we are simply concerned.
My goal is not small talk. I will be happy to stop by your residence. Perhaps next week, if that is alright?
