- There is less than half of an inch that separates the Weasley twins in heightââ¬âand, true or not, Catigern always insists that half inch is in his favour. Regardless, he is a tall wizard at five feet, ten inches, with a lithe but athletic build clad in...whatever is laid out for himââ¬âfashion has never been much of his cup of tea. Red hair and green eyes match those of his brother, though he likes to think his face is more youthful. His wand is carried in his left hand, though he writes easily with either.
History:
- Catigern was born only moments after his brother to a father who could not be any prouder and a mother who, unfortunately, would never carry a child to term again. His earliest memories are of playing with his brother, to whom he has always been close. It was not until the age of seven that Cat began to properly show signs of magic, most notably stopping a vase from shattering when, while roughing around the house a bit more than he should have been, he knocked the family heirloom from an end table.
It came as little surprise when, at eleven, the boys both receive letters inviting them to attend Hogwarts in the coming school year. When the time came for them to depart, Cat was rather hesitant to leave the only home that he had ever known, but the knowledge that his brother would be accompanying him made matters significantly easier for him. Both boys were sorted into Gryffindor, where they then delved into new friendships and their academic life.
In his third year Cat made the decision to take up Care of Magical Creatures, entirely fascinated by the beasts of the magical world. More importantly, however, he decided to join his brother in trying out for the house quidditch team and landing himself a seeker positionââ¬âhis brother was not so fortunate. It was the first major undertaking either Weasley did without the other in tow, but Cat quickly found he enjoyed life on the team. By fourth year, he had three major loves in his life: quidditch, his care of magical creatures class, and Belinda Jetson, a Gryffindor two years his senior. Catigern found himself utterly infatuated with her, for all that she was older, betrothed, and significantly more clever than he himself. Needless to say, it did not progress.
The end of fifth year saw reasonably decent OWL grades, and Catigern is finally able to cast aside the classes of which he was not particularly fond.
Lacking the skill to play professional quidditch after graduation, Catigern followed his other passion all the way to the Ministry, finding work in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creaturesââ¬âspecifically, the Beast Division. It was not long, though, before he realized quidditch as a more ardent passion, and so he abandoned his solid career for one much more tempestuous but also much more fun, playing for the Appleby Arrows.
His was not a particularly exceptional career, and he seldom saw actual play time due to his position on the third string. In order to gain enough extra income not to feel an utter fool, Catigern began making a study of various magical creatures, ultimately publishing a book. By some miracle, this book was quite well receivedââ¬âeven being incorporated into Hogwarts' NEWT curriculum. Though his life showed no indication as ever being as comfortable of that of his childhood, he was no longer in quite such dire straits financially. Only a few months after this latest success, Cat was able to catch another break: unlike Appleby, the Chudley Canons seemed quite happy to allow him room for progression. In the spring of 1876 he moved from third string with the former to second of the latter, moving again to first string just over a year later.
The canons proved to be a vast improvement, not only in pay but in opportunity and the team's overall skill. He quickly became good friends with the team's keeperââ¬âand through him met his future wife. Upon their first introduction, Marcella seemed to Catigern the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, and it was not long before he found himself utterly besotted. Belonging to the upper class, however, placed her farther from his reach than he would have liked; at first, Cat doubted he would ever do more than simply admire her.
Numbers, however, were in his favour. The youngest of six girls and a lone boy, Marcella seemed to take to Catigern just as strongly. Her father's taking ill in 1879 only aided their cause; the man grew sentimental in his frailty, consenting to allow his daughter to follow her heart (particularly since she would not have a particularly substantial dowry anyways, so far was she down the line). The two began a very brief courtship and a briefer engagement before marrying in April of 1880.
Cat was fortunate enough to be named to the British National Quidditch Team just in time for the Quidditch World Cup of 1883. Though they did not make it to the finals, he considered this to be a grand enough accomplishment and finallyââ¬âand very reluctantlyââ¬âretired from the sport to take over the running of the Beautiful Beast Boutique.
Since marrying, his wife has given him two beautiful daughters, and unbeknownst to them, is currently pregnant with their first son.

Cat carries, but does not always use, a simple cane, and occasionally speaks with a stammer.
