Current Age: 39
Occupation: Head of The Department of Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures
Hogwarts House: Ravenclaw Alumnus

Family: Father - Desmond Thomas Flint (Deceased)
Mother - Aurora Marie Flint nee Sullivan (Deceased)
Wife û Rebecca Elise Flint nee Dixon (In Bedlam)
Son û Desmond Allan Riverton (22, unknown to him at this point)
Appearance: Standing at six foot three, Thomas is muscular, with dark eyes, and dark hair. For the most part, he keeps it short, although in his younger days, he wore it long as a way of annoying his father. He is usually found in expensive, tailored suits from London in black or shades of grey, unless he has decided to go riding. On those occasions, he wears riding suits in reds and browns, and boots. With all his suits, he has a pocket on the inside, on the left side, to carry his wand for easy access by his right hand should he need to use it.
History: Born to Desmond and Aurora Flint in 1841, Thomas was an only child. His mother wanted more children, but it never happened. Growing up as the only son of a rich man had some perks, of course. He was spoiled by both his parents, but his father's job as an Auror meant that he was often away for months on end. Aurora tried her best to compensate for this by giving him everything his heart desired. He spent a lot of his time with a neighbouring family's daughter, Rebecca Dixon, who would later become his wife.
When he was eleven, his letter from Hogwarts arrived, and he happily went off to learn as much as he could. His favourite class was Care of Magical Creatures, something that became somewhat of an obsession for him throughout his schooling, and what later inspired him to take up a job in the Ministry. It was here that he met the woman who would steal his heart; Jasmine Ellis Riverton. She was a fellow Gryffindor, but, unlike Thomas, she was lower class, and he knew that she would never be accepted as his wife.
On the eve of his return to his sixth year at Hogwarts, Thomas and his family dined with Rebecca Dixon's family. It was here that he found out that he and Rebecca would be married when they left Hogwarts the following summer. The news broke his heart, as he truly believed if he could convince his family that she loved him, and that he felt the same for her. He vowed he would change his parent's mind, come hell or high water.
His final years at Hogwarts went by quickly, and he had still not managed to convince his parents to cancel the marriage, and so, with a heavy heart, he broke things off with Jasmine. It broke his heart, but he had no choice; his parents would not be swayed, and he knew if he defied them, he would break his mother's heart. He married Rebecca, but a few months later, he contacted Jasmine again. He couldn't bear the thought of her with another man, and made her his mistress.
Jasmine fell pregnant, and, just before his eighteenth birthday, he became a father to Desmond Allan Riverton. He couldn't end his marriage to Rebecca, who had already become suspicious of his "activities" which kept him away from home until late in the evening, so he could not take his son in as his own. He did promise to provide for his child, and kept Jasmine as his mistress.
When he was twenty, his father fell gravely ill, and died soon after. Thomas took his mother in to the large home in London that he shared with wife, but she could not live without her husband. The grief lead to her death a three years later. Despite the loss of both parents, Thomas was working hard at the Ministry, working up the ranks in the Department of Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. By the age of thirty, he became the Head of Department, working longer hours so that he did not have to be around his wife, spending time with his mistress before returning home. Rebecca was becoming more and more unbearable to be around. She knew of his affair, and, coupled with wanting a child and the lack of a husband at home, she slowly drove herself mad.
After four long years of putting up with her illness, pretending it wasn't happening, Thomas made the decision to have his wife committed to Bedlam. It had originally been a temporary agreement, until she was well enough to come home, but, as the years went on, it was clear she would never recover. In 1876, Jasmine fell in with the pox, and subsequently died. The grief was unbareable. When the town of Hogmeade was formed in 1877, Thomas decided it was time to leave London, for a freer life, without the fear of seeing people that reminded him of Jasmine. He had always loved horses, and purchased a home with a large amount of land attached. He had the stable extended, and procured several horses. When he eventually moved in, he hired a young man, by the name of Desmond Allan Riverton, to look after his horses. Jasmine had, for her part, kept her son's identity a secret, so when he was hired as Thomas' stable hand, he had no idea of who he was. Despite this, the two built up an excellent rapport, and Thomas looked to him as a friend.

Quote:Wilhelmina left her home that morning with a lighter spring in her step. She had spent what seemed like an eternity in her home, leaving only late at night to drown her sorrow in the Hog's Head. But today was different. She had recently invited Phineas and Ursula Black to dinner, which was set to occur Saturday week, and she had been scrupulous in planning it so that everything was to Phineas' liking. Since the death of her father, he had been beside her. She remembered the day she had fainted in Phineas' office, and how kind, how concerned he had been, the way he had wrapped his arm around her, and held her close, and she couldn't help but smile.OOC:
Phineas had joked many times that she was his work wife, but lately, Mina had found herself wishing that she was more than that. She wasn't entirely sure how she had begun to fall for him, or that she really had. It had just happened. She supposed it had started that day in his office. Someone who showed that much concern, that much care for her should surely have the feelings reciprocated, shouldn't they? And over time, she felt more and more for him. And that was part of the reason she was heading to Phineas and Ursula's home. She hadn't really been able to think up an excuse to visit, but the upcoming dinner engagement now gave her a perfectly good reason to be visiting.
Soon, she found herself stood in front of the lavish home that Phineas shared with his wife and his son Sirius. Thinking about Phineas' child caused a pang somewhere in Mina's chest. She was past the childbearing age now, something that she had never regretted until she had fallen for Phineas. She tried to shake the thoughts from her mind as she knocked on the door. The fact that Ursula was able to bear Phineas children was the sorest spot. Of course, she pretended that she cared about Ursula, called her a dear friend, but the truth of the matter was, she would rather see her hanged that see her bear him more children. The door opened, and Mina felt it best to push all negative thoughts away. "Miss Wilhelmina Bones. I've come to see Mr and Mrs Black, if they are at home." She knew that she hadn't let them know of this visit, so there was a chance that she would not be seeing them at all, but she had wanted to see Phineas so much she was willing to take the risk.
