    Selene ____ née Allaway - 38 - Sister

Elizabeth Allaway née Grey - 39 - Wife
    Castor Allaway - 15 - Son
    Pollux Allaway -Deceased - Son
    Leda Allaway - 5 - Daughter
Appearance: George is fair haired and kindly looking. He has wrinkles in the corners of his eyes that only attest to his being lighthearted. He wears clothes of muggle styling and keeps them as smart looking as he can seeing as he's a teacher and ought to set an example of personal upkeep. While he admires the style of cloaks and the likes, he believes his lack of magical ability would render such a garment as ridiculous when draped over him. He would wield a wand with his right hand were he a wizard so consequently just uses that hand for writing. He is a man of reasonable height though by no means a giant, standing at 5'8", he's not overweight but at the same time he's not the most physically fit either.
History: July 8th, 1840: In the cooling hours of the summer afternoon, George Solomon Allaway was born to two muggles. He was the second child born and the first son, later it would be clear he was the only son the Allaways would have.
1844: George begins learning the basics of reading, writing and arithmetic. He is a curious child and readily takes to learning though he also likes playing a great deal too. He manages a balance between the two that many children his age would lack if not pressed to study.
1845: The third and final Allaway child was born, another girl called Selene. At the age of five, George was immensely curious about the entire thing being the youngest, or rather, the former youngest.
October, 1846: Finally six years old, George goes to study at a house down the street with other children. The tutor is an older man with a long beard. George admires him and believes he is extra intelligent because of his beard. He takes to his studies enthusiastically and enjoys telling anyone who listens about what he's learned each day. During his time studying from the tutor, he makes friends with a boy called Harold.
May, 1848: George's mother has a gruesome miscarriage and is too weak to leave her bed. The event is traumatizing both mentally and physically and she would never fully recover from this. His father is very visibly upset by his wife's declining health.
August, 1848: With his mother still ailing, George takes it upon himself to teach Selene reading and writing. Madeline helps when he is busy being tutored.
November, 1848: It becomes clear that his mother has consumption, likely worsened by the impact on her immune system from the miscarriage. Madeline and George are deeply saddened by the news as they know what will inevitably happen. Selene, on the other hand, is blissfully unaware.
February 1850: After a harsh winter, George's mother passes away just before spring. His father and sister are just as bereaved as he is, even though it was expected. Selene still has yet to properly understand.
September, 1851: George's friend, Harold, disappears. Confused, he asks Harold's parents where he is and is informed that he went off to boarding school. He's bitterly upset that Harold never told him but asks for his new address anyway so that he might write to him. Harold's parents refuse to give it to him. This puzzles him but he is more upset than anything else.
1853: At the age of sixteen, Madeline decides not to pursue a domestic life and instead takes up life as a nun at a nearby convent. George doesn't truly understand why she would want to do so, he is more academically minded than religious, but accepts it nonetheless.
June, 1859: George finishes his studies with his tutor (no longer with the same group of children or with the same bearded man) and decides to become a teacher.
September 1859:He begins teaching the children in a nearby village elementary school. As he's so young and inexperienced, few private or prestigious schools care to take him on.
1863: Selene, now seventeen, takes the eye of a young lawyer and they marry. Madeline remains a nun. George, on the other hand, finally secures a position in private boy's school. It's not as prestigious as the likes of Eton but it's a fairly decent school and in desperate need of a new history teacher.
1864: While attending a local assembly, George's life changes for good. A young woman, Elizabeth Grey, is in attendance and while he is too shy to approach her he learns her name from a mutual friend. A couple weeks later he spots her leaving the post office. Feeling braver than he had at the assembly, he pretends he is going to the post office and intentionally jostles her slightly in the process. With an excuse to talk, he finally gets to make her acquaintance.
1865: George's father dies of consumption. He probably got it from kissing his sick dead wife. He only kissed her before she did the dying though he's not into that or rather he wasn't into that. Now in mourning, he is bitterly upset that he cannot properly court Miss Grey whom he has developed feelings for.
1866: No longer in mourning, he begins to court Miss Grey and within months, the couple are engaged.
April, 1867: After four years of teaching at the school, George is faced with the opportunity of transferring to a different school at the end of the year; it would mean more money but it would also mean moving away and leaving his current school which he has grown very fond of. He turns it down.
August, 1867: George and Elizabeth marry.
June, 1868: He finds out he is to be a father and shortly thereafter is promoted to Headmaster of his school. Both events leave him overjoyed but the former excites him the most.
December 1st, 1868: A little earlier than anticipated, George becomes a father not once, but twice over. Twin boys, Castor and Pollux. George is giddy though concerned for Elizabeth who did not come out as unscathed from the event as he did.
1869: Elizabeth thankfully recovers fully. George finds being Headmaster and being a father suit him greatly.
1872: The time of familial bliss soon comes to an end at the same time as an unpleasant outbreak of smallpox. George loses a great many students first due to the close confined nature of a school but then it strikes his home. Castor and Pollux fall ill first though George is full of hopeful determination as it appears to be only a mild case. Things worsened, however, when Elizabeth too contracted it. For Elizabeth, things seemed more dire than the boys until they too worsened. After seemingly endless days of fretting over his loved ones, a change took place but not for the better. Pollux died. Distraught and fearing for the other twin as well as his wife, George struggles to retain his usual optimism. Castor eventually recovers, as does Elizabeth but the sickness leaves her sightless. It's a small price to pay for not losing her he thinks.
1878: Though still mournful of the loss of Pollux, the family have since recovered some and adapted to life without Castor's twin and Elizabeth's eyesight. The addition of little Leda, does much to bring needed happiness back into their lives.
Summer, 1880: A letter arrives for Castor apparently in the talons of an owl. George thinks this is most peculiar (and novel!) but the contents of the letter it carries are even more so! Castor gives him the letter to open and read and it soon becomes apparent that his son is a wizard. Having never believed magic to be real, George is absolutely shocked though unlike some muggles might be, he is not in the least appalled by it. In fact, so fascinated is he at the idea of a whole other world existing amongst theirs that he takes the most eager interest in finding out all he can about it.
1881: While retaining his position as Headmaster, the school starts to fall into financial difficulty. George tries to do everything he can to save it. Meanwhile, with only Leda left at home, he spends a lot of time trying to provoke magic out of her but fails. He misses Castor who decides to stay with a school friend over summer. Elizabeth proves to be less enthusiastic about Castor's magic which causes George private torment. He tries to make up for her wariness of Castor by overcompensating. A lot. His son's acceptance onto the quidditch team excites him when he finds out it's a sport on broomsticks. He learns more about quidditch and decides he's a fan though he's never seen a match in his life.
1882: Castor spends another summer away from home. George is still missing him immensely.
Summer, 1883: Castor decides to spend this summer at home and George is thrilled. Wanting to impress his wizard son, he ferociously studies all he can about the wizarding world (though not all of it makes a great deal of sense to him from only reading books) so he can impress his son with his magical knowledge. He finds out about the Quidditch World Cup and gets very excited about it though no one in the family got to attend.
December, 1883: Despite his best efforts, George fails to save the school he's devoted so much of his life to. The school shuts for the last time once the students return home for Christmas.
January, 1884: George takes up private tutoring for a couple weeks to keep money coming in but misses the atmosphere of a classroom. He soon finds out there's a new school in Irvingly without a schoolmaster. Wanting to be close to Castor, he applies (despite the drop in position from his old Headmaster post) and succeeds in getting the job. Consequently, the family move to Irvingly. George is over the moon to be living in a town with wizards and witches. He's heard wonderful things about Hogsmeade and while sad he can never visit, he's content enough in Irvingly.
Personality: George is a jovial sort and very optimistic. Rarely ill of humor unless some great tragedy or unpleasantness befalls him, he is a cheery man and thinks the best of people.
