I hope this letter finds you taking some time to relax, rather than doing your school work, for while your education is very important indeed, I would not wish for it to come at the expense of your sanity. It is bad enough that I should have my mind and no tongue with which to speak it; it would be a damn shame indeed for you to have a tongue to flap about but only an addled mind to express!

You should know that I am excited to have both you and Hudson home for the summer months. Ottie is grand company, of course, but both living and working primarily with women can be rather stressful for a grown man, as you’ll learn for yourself soon enough. Have you made any strides in obtaining an internship for this summer?

I imagine you find yourself less concerned about your examinations this year than you did last, but nonetheless I did not think the enclosed fudge would go amiss. I also was fortunate enough to find a four-leafed clover when on a stroll in the park just last week, and have had it pressed as a bit of luck for you—in case you were wondering at the purpose of the plant in the envelope!

Please give my best (and some of the fudge) to Hudson, and remind him to study hard even though he will not set his OWLs for another year.
