The zoo was a place that Katharina found herself frequenting often. Her husband understood - or at least pretended to understand - Katharina's fascination with all sorts of creatures very well. In another life, she might possibly have been a magizoologist of some sort. In reality, however, she was nothing more than a housewife which suited her just fine.
Moving through the zoo, she did her usual round of petting all the critters that were allowed to be petted before moving into the aviary. Observing the fwoopers, Katharina smiled at the sole other person that was doing so. "Fond of fwoopers?" She asked shyly, remembering that her husband had been encouraging her to come out of her shell somewhat.

Calla Potts
The little girl nodded her head furiously at the question. While her governess had long ago gotten bored of visiting the zoo once more, though she stood within respectable distance, looking at some other creature, she never got bored. If she did, she wouldn't have been so insistent on having so many day trips down from Hogsmeade just to go to a zoo. Just like her oldest sister, she too had developed some form of interest outside of the family business of flowers, even if she still like the plants. Animals were just a bit more... lively. She could get a response from an animal far faster that you could just waiting for a plant to grow. Plus animals were far softer and more cuddly than a rose bush.
"I don't like that we put silencing charms on them. Why should we force them to change their nature? They aren't here to see us. We are here to see them. We should deafen ourselves instead," the girl stated firmly as if she had thought of it before, finally twisting her head to see who she spoke to. Calla flushed slightly, noting that the one she was talking to was dressed nicer than her - likely an upper class, though beyond that she didn't seem to care.

"But we forced them here, so it is only right we change ourselves. Plus we wouldn't always have to keep ourselves deaf. Just in the room. The fwoopers are always mute. They didn't ask to be here, did they?" She questioned, peering over her shoulder and up at the older woman, though it didn't take too much of the up direction as she as only a few inches taller than the eleven year old. "It just doesn't seem fair to me." She shook her head and turned back to the birds, they were pretty, though, and she would admit they were nice to look at, though she didn't think that made it alright to change their nature.
