    Crystal,
After today's Prophet article, I simply had to write you. They can't do this, they simply can't! It's not right, and you and I both know that. Someone needs to put these so-called society folk in their place - they are not behaving in ways that befit one of the status they claim. It sickens me to my core, and I cannot, simply cannot see these disgusting policies and horrifying places sticking around for much longer.

Please. If you feel threatened by anyone, come to me. You'll always have a home with me. Don't forget that.

    Warmest regards,
    ▬ Joanna ▬

I can't help but feel like something is going to happen soon. Something bad. If something bad does happen, it'll probably happen to me. Honesly, I hope it does. And I know that sounds bad, but Joan, my sister's won't survive something terrible happening into them. Acacia and Orinda would probably be much better off without me here, anyway. I feel like such a bad influence on Orinda...

Crystal is half-vampire, your character is most certainly aware of this.

    Crystal,
This storm will pass, too. They always do. I had to learn that the hard way - being disowned was the worst event thus far of my life. For something I had no control over. For being magical. I was just lucky that my mother had a brother with the same skills, someone she could ship me off to. Otherwise, I've no doubt my brother and I both would have been murdered, just for being different. For being special.

That is what these people seem intent to do, Crystal. They want to be rid of those who are special. Be strong. It's the only way we can survive. And don't fret about Orinda - she is as special as you, and I am sure she is just as strong, too. You Ruskin girls have quite the inner strength.

    With hope and solidarity,
    ▬ Joanna ▬
