To Die By Your Side Is Such a Heavenly Way To Die

Charmed so only she can read it and so it can smell like lilies. @'November Malfoy'

    My Luminous November,

Your brother nearly killed me tonight. My only regret is that he did not. He tried to strangle me and we ended up falling off a window. I felt Death's cold grip so clearly, I thought that I woul truly die. How tragically poetic would it be, to find my demise by your brother's hand?

Please, bare your brother no ill thoughts. It was his mortal, carnal desires that lead him to act so monstrously. To die by your brother's hand would be such an ideal way to die. My only regret is that he was not successful.

This night's events have made me think of how I'd want to die. I do not want a meaningless death. I would quite like a knife to the heart. Wouldn't you like such an end?

    With sorrow,

    Elmer Macmillan

    Dearest Knight-at-Arms,

It would have been terribly poetic, perhaps all the more so in light of my brother being unaware of it. Although enduring such suffering can be a divine experience, I hope he did not harm you too grievously.

A knife to one's heart would be a terribly tragic death indeed. I should like a death preceded by acute distress either of the body or the mind, preferably both. Consumption has its appeal, I hear it is quite traumatic but it is also not an uncommon sort of way to die. Falling from a great height in the grip of fever and delirium would be nice, or even drowning. If I were to drown I should like to do so in a small body of water where someone would find me before I became too unseemly for an open casket affair. To be stabbed in the back would be a fine death too.

I must confess to some selfish part of me which is gladdened by your survival for I would have been without a kindred soul in this torturous existence.

    Est quaedam flere voluptas,
    N.

    My Luminous November,

It causes me great joy to know that you would have missed me. I confess that I would not enjoy death's sweet release as much if I didn't have you by my side. What would I do beyond life without you by my side? It would be a very lonesome post-life existance. It would be as painful as being alive.

If I was to ever die, I would want it to be by your side, at the exact same moment. It is my greatest desire to die by your side. Maybe it was always meant to be that way. We were not meant to be together in life, but in death.

    Tragically yours,
    Elmer Macmillan

    Dear Heart,

To be together in death is to be together for all eternity, life is so brief and transient, shallow even. Would that I could spend every second of eternity with you, how tragically romantic to be parted in life only to finally be united in death. What do you imagine would await us on the other side? I've always liked the sound of purgatory.

Do you suppose people would write stories and poems of our tragically premature and simultaneous demise in the name of love, suffering, and the cold embrace of gentle death?

    Eternally yours,
    N.

    My Tragic November,

I always imagined that death would take the form of a field covered in fog. It would be twilight eternally, because that is the most beautiful time of day and night. It is when the night comes to kiss the day. We would wander, but we wouldn't be lost. Since we would already be death, we would have found our destination, anyway. I've always believed that a person's life is truly a hunt for their death. We all walk towards our demise. That is the purpose of our existance.

Would you really want for there to be many stories and songs and poems about our deaths? I would hate to become terribly famous post-mortem. We could write letters and ask our dearest friends to publish them so that people would know that we have found freedom and happiness at last. That could help people in return. They would realize that the solution to their problem was to follow us, in death.

Perhaps we could pick an age when we could die. I would like to die young, but still old enough to have experienced enough of life's tragedies. I would also like to die young enough so that my spirit would hold the memory of my best appearance. Lord Byron died when he was thirty-six. I believe that is an excellent age to die.

    Yours,
    Elmer Macmillan
